Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waaaaaaay overspec’d!!! Very disappointed I like Ryobi one tools. But 15 minutes run time on a brand new 40V battery is pitiful. You have to run it in turbo mode for it to be half way usable, it’s like a low volume fan otherwise What a waste of $300. Cheap flemsy plastic. I also have the ryobi gas blower that is rated lower in airspeed and volume and it literally blows this thing out of the water. Will be taking it back.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just not there yet. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I reluctantly made the switch to electric so my wife could use the blower for our lanai. Well she doesn’t use it and when I use it for the lawn it’s just very very under powered compared to what I’m used to. Great idea!! Just not there yet. The battery life is pretty pathetic as well. I like it in the string trimmer and hedge clippers….. but definitely not the blower.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome blower [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This blower is easy to use and definitely suits our needs! Way easier to use than the expensive gas ones. And we are able to use it at anytime because it’s so quite!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It was great when it worked & warranty challenges The power is decent and runs fairly quiet and it certainly needs extra battery to keep it running for more than 10 minutes on Turbo mode. I was able to use it a couple of times in the first month before the unit decided to stop responding. It won't power up at all. The unit has been sitting at the authorized repair shop for almost two months and waiting for parts. I should of returned it than hoping to have quick turnaround on repair. Have tried to reach out to Ryobi hotline and their policy is 90 days before they would consider sending a replacement unit. Ryobi tools had been my choice for many years and please be aware of the potential challenges with the warranty support.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Love this leaf blower! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had the back pack blower for over a year. It is exactly what I needed to deal with all the leaves in my yard. It is not too heavy, it is not too loud, but it has a lot of power.

Where ca I get another battery and the cost of it

Where ca I get another battery and the cost of it
Asked by: Michael
Home Depot carries several Ryobi 40V batteries: 2ah, 4ah, 5ah and 6ah. Today the prices range from $119 to $199. The 2ah is the least expensive, but the 6ah lasts 3 times as long for only 67% more money. Oh, there is now a 7.5ah for $249, too. You can attach 2 batteries at the same time. I have a lot of patio and driveway, and my 2ah will die before I finish, but I have never completely emptied a 4ah battery -- I get tired of blowing before using up 4ah.

How often can i use the turbo button? Can i use it continuously? Im not concerned about battery life.

Asked by: RyobiAddict
With 2 batteries you can pull the turbo button 10+ times before the charge dies which might be 25-40 mins

The model number on my backpack blower is RY40404. The charger that came with it is model number OP401, I think. I later received a larger, rapid chargerOP406 with my hedge trimmer and a little tiny, charger OP404 with my chainsaw. [I will try to post photos for you]

Hi, my husband just bought the Ryobi 40440 leaf blower, my question is on the front of the harness below the chest strap are 2 straps with plastic loops at the end, we can not find out what they are for? They are part of the lower strap adjustment.

Asked by: Sandy
Hey Sandy. I've owned this blower for a little over a year and I don't think those loops are anything special. I think they are just strap adjustment aids that you would put a finger or thumb through to adjust the shoulder strap.

I don't see why not. You can even use only one battery, although it obviously won't last as long.
