Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than the previous model I own the Ryobi 40V mower, hedge trimmer, string trimmer and both the previous generation leaf blower and the latest model. I like all the tools because they are easy to use and the batteries work well, even though they fade out slightly near the "empty" mark, which is very noticeable on the lawn mower. But no sweat, swap in a fully charged battery and you are back in business. Simple, easy and clean. My son owns a 36V leaf blower from a competitor and it out-performs this "high performance blower" by quite a bit, but it also cost twice the money. I am happy with Ryobi.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Happy - so far. The quick and dirty: great power, nice tool, battery life is short - but works for me. I live on a small, but very heavily treed suburban lot and have extensive decking, walkway, patio and driveway areas that are constantly covered in huge amounts of needle debris (daily) from the coniferous trees that dominate my area. I was concerned that this battery powered unit wouldn't have enough power - but just used it and am extremely pleased. Handled semi-wet needles no problem and moved wet, fall leaves stuck to concrete off with ease. I was sceptical of going with a cordless (had a corded before, but really got tired of constantly dragging, snagging and tripping on the extension cord). For my purposes this has plenty of power - more than my old corded model. So now I have more power and no cord to trip over (dangerous when I'm on the roof). Win. That said, if you have a huge lot, or are looking to use this for more than 15 minutes at a time, this is probably NOT the blower for you. On a full charge and using it at (mostly) full power it lasts 15 minutes. Might last longer if you ease off on the power button a bit. But for me, I can do my large front patio, walkway and long driveway on one charge - and if I want to do the backyard and deck the same day, I just plug the battery in and keep myself busy with mowing the lawn or whatnot until the battery is charged up again - no big deal, as honestly, with the 40V battery pack the blower is a little bit heavy (totally workable mind you) and I think taking a break after 15 or 20 minutes straight is just a good idea for the shoulder/elbow/wrist. Pros: -cordless -good power -blower itself seems sturdy and well built -you can adjust the power by easing off the power button; brilliant -fairly ergonomic to hold, nice grippy handle -quite compact, so doesn't take up much space in my garage Cons: -battery life is short -button for charge status on battery is tiny and really hard to push; needs improvement -air intake on back sometimes sucks onto your pants; annoying, but not a big deal If Ryobi could improve battery life a bit (even by 10 minutes), include an optional nozzle extension and make the status button on the battery pack less microscopic and hard to engage, this would be a 5 star for sure. Have read complaints that the battery packs are prone to failure and that the warranty claim process is painful. Will try to update this review if the battery pack proves to be a lemon.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No power or battery life Used it on a full charge and died within 15 minutes. Tried again on a full charged and died again in 15 minutes. Blow power was okay. I Took it back.
