Rated 3 out of 5 by from Really not worth $300 About the Ryobi backpack blower April of 2018 and brought home set it up and the thing ran great the first two times I used it then the third time every time you give it gas it would bog down and die so I brought it back a few months later I guess around December and got another one and the same thing but this one would not even crank after about three uses so I wish somebody would help me out with this it's just been a big headache for me and I hope you don't have to go through the same thing and I hope they can figure out what the flaws are because it really could be a nice blower

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bogging down after a few years ***FIX*** [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don’t write reviews ever but wanted to share since I found others having the same issue. This blower ran great from the time it was new up till about 3 years of use. Started having issues with it bogging down when you give it throttle and would die out. Tried fresh gas mix and adjusting the carburetor screws with the ‘pac man’ tool from Amazon. No luck. I picked up the 50:1 premix to try for the first time and a new spark plug even though it didn’t look bad. Another small symptom I didn’t take much notice till tinkering was the primer bulb would be slow to return when priming. ***The problem was the fuel filter down in the tank - looked dark and grey. They are white when new. I popped on a new one and the primer bulb worked normally. I went ahead and replaced the spark plug as well. Fired right up and had to tweak the carb screws again after messing with it before. Blower starts right up and runs on full speed now. Running great.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Works At First... This machine works at first, and then does not. If you shut it down it doesn't start back up. They break easy and the repair costs are not worth it. Spend a little more and get something that lasts.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from worst Ryobi buy ever Had an old ryobi blower from 2002 die on me. It was great. It finally died in 2018. Bought this as a one to one replacement and it is absolutely horrible. Has never run right. Endless tuning sparkplug and two brand new carbs, I've had it. When adjusted to start cold it won't run hot. When adjusted perfectly for hot it won't start at all. Worst money I ever spent. Never again a ryobi product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very finicky blower I've had this blower for about 3 years, it's a pain in the you know what to operate. The blower will start (when it wants to) and run fine for awhile, but if it's hot and you turn it off, forget about getting it started again that day. I've noticed that it's lost power from when it's new and I've already had to replace carburetor on it. I have several RYOBI tools, and this one isn't worth the money, save yourself a lot of time and headache by avoiding it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from not good i have a 42cc model worked great, then gave me starting problems.tuned it up ran good thru the spring used it yesterday and motor locked up and lost compression bought in april of 2018. have to find out about warranty but home depot said it goes off manufacture date if you dont have reciept and would take 6-8 weeks to get repaired. i did register with ryobi when purchased but my manufacture date shows it will be out of warranty as i cannot find reciept. first ryobi product i have had that has not met expectations . i have many of thier tools and equipment but this blower is not good

I purchased a Ryobi backpack blower at the end of October last year and used it twice and now it won't start unless the throttle is on full.  It quits when you put it to idle.... Do I bring this back to the store? It has a 3 year warranty
