Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well, but keep batteries handy Bought this for our camp trailer where I have a full set of 18V tools. It gives about 7 to 10 min of use on the standard battery and about 17 to 25 min on the larger 4AH battery. For out camping lot (Triangle, 150x178 x 60 heavily wooded) we need i 4ah battery and 3 or 4 of the 1AH batteries- I have 8 batteries so it works out OK, but you have to plan ahead by having them charged. If you work with 1ah batteries only you cannot keep ahead with one charger - With 2 chargers, and raking in between you can almost recharge in sequence to keep going. I would guess best scenario would be 3 4AH batteries which I may try next year. :-)

Opened the box at home and was shocked to find the small low-capacity 1.33AH battery inside. The box has multiple pictures of the high-capacity 4.0AH battery and reads "Included". Anyone non-proficient in electrical engineering would've been easily deceived and left wondering why it runs out of juice in no time. For those not in the know, the 24WH (watt-hours) marking means 1.33AH (ampere-hours) at 18 Volts. 24/18 = 1.33 The 4.0AH 18-Volt battery would've been marked 72WH, or 3 times the capacity of the actual included battery. Very unhappy with this discovery and will be returning the unit to the store. Will try another box on the spot, but am not expecting a miracle at this point. What a shame! Would love to hear an explanation from RYOBI on this severe misrepresentation.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not too bad I originally asked the question regarding the size of the battery, and in my case it did include the 4.0Ahr battery with the charger. Overall performance i'd say is average @ 280 CFM. With a full charge, I was able to blow off my driveway, deck, pool, along with a few leaves left over from last fall, as well as dry off a SUV after a car wash with 25% battery left. I also picked up a 5.0AHr battery on amazon to add to my collection, and works the same as the original with stock charger. Build quality is pretty good, quick assembly and overall I do get compliments from my neighbors when i'm using it. Another 100 CFM would be nice, but overall it is very light and ergonomic to use. 7/10 in my book

Je suis une femme d'un certain âge, et je ne suis pas très forte. J'avais essayé d'autres souffleuses auparavant, et c'était très lourd et j'avais de la difficulté à travailler avec car encombrant, fil électrique à transporter, etc.... La souffleuse Ryobi est extraordinaire! Elle n'est pas très lourde, même avec la batterie et super facile à faire fonctionner. Je suis vraiment heureuse de mon achat. Cet outil va vraiment me rendre la vie beaucoup plus facile. Merci Ryobi!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very disappointed with Ryobi Very disappointed with Ryobi. I bought 3.0AH Lithium+HP batteries, hoping they would last and I can slowly add more products. First this barely lasted for more that 10 minutes on Jugsaw and I could only get few cuts out of each charge. I thought I was doing something wrong. Now I purchased this leaf blower. Batetery only last 10-15 minutes and not even enough to do our small driveway and sidewalk. I thought battery pack is bad, so I exchanged for a new pack, but still the same.

It is used about a dozen times a year. This year in late July it started working only a much reduced speed (about half) I am extremely disappointed in the quality of this since it was used so few time before having a major problem. Will not rebuy.

Light weight , strong power , get the leafs out of the way in seconds . Why I did not buy it earlier and paid and waited others to do yard cleaning ? The battery is quick charged and runs about 20-30 minutes job , and I took a break while waiting for the battery to be charged if I want to do more work . It empowers a lady like me who always thought it’s men’s job , but it’s not a job it’s a fun outdoor activity. 100% perfect love this tool !!!

Has anyone tried it as a snow blower for dry snow? How was it?

Yes This was bought as a gift for my father and he blows snow with it all the time. As long as it's loose and kind of dry, it definitely wouldn't work on wet, packed snow. The lighter, the better. And you can always use a shovel after to clean up anything that didn't get blown away.
