The fan has 2 speeds and air volume is excellent. The fan has three plastic blades and a misting function for those hot summer days on my outside on my deck. The fan is well built and has a metal rear housing and plastic front housing. It's nice to be able to use this portable fan with a battery and not worry about looking for a outlet and looking for a extension cord.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When this fan set first arrived, it was much bigger than I had expected, but soon grew to like it very much. I set it up with full power and a hose line, and it worked extremely well. The hose actually feeds two micro misters, so it's not introducing too much water into the air flow, but just enough. After a good testing, it seems like the battery option may be a life saver on hot days, in case you go somewhere without house power. Almost all of us have 18+ charged batteries around, and this can keep you cool when there is no power to be had.

It has a real place to put the batteries, the cover is spring loaded and will hold a 9amp battery. It is slightly quiter than the old mister. This mister connects directly to a hose, and has no bucket feature. You can also plug it in - it did not come with a cord or a battery. It is not a big mister, so it's really not big enough for a patio. It does have a two speed fan.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from This fan needs a redesign I thought this would be nice for my garage woodshop in the Texas heat, but unfortunately, not so. Firstly there is no volume adjustment available for the mist function, and secondly it only works with garden hose attached at full pressure. On high, standing 6 feet away, it's like being squirted with a fine spray hose. Literally water droplets on myself and my tools in about 5 minutes. On low, it just makes a puddle in the garage floor about 5 feet in diameter in front of it. Not a good mix for using power tools. I'll be returning it tomorrow.

It feels incredible to them and me too because I can’t take the heat either. They’ll stand in front of it and hold their chins up just enjoying the cool mist blowing on their faces. Extremely happy with this purchase! Recommend to everyone that doesn’t mind getting wet from the mist, it’s heavy & feels fantastic! Thanks Ryobi, for making affordable products that last & last!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Overheats then barely runs at all. Should've known better. This happened on a similar Ryobi hybrid I hade about 3 years ago. Blows strong on either setting for maybe 10 minutes. Then IDK if it over heats or what but it will hardly blow after that. This is using the cord it came with and/or an extension cord of my one. Happens either way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cut the Cord and Feel the Freedom with this Large, Cooling Mist Fan [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This “Cannon” won’t blow you over, but it does move a lot of air (1400 CFM on high). I can feel the cooling mist at least 13 feet from the fan when using it outdoors. The misting feature control is completely separate from the fan control. Turn on the fan using the 3-position switch on the front of the fan and/or turn on the mist using the lever on the hose-thread adaptor. Using the battery means I can use this anywhere! The fan weighs just 10 pounds and the handle on top of the fan is well-balanced and easy on your fingers. The two locking levers on the side are big and easy to turn so setting the fan’s angle is also quick and easy. There are cleverly shaped slots on the bottom for wall mounting on two bolts on 110mm centers (see photo), but I have not tried that.. This unit can be corded or cordless. If you mount it up on the wall, I recommend using a power cord because changing the battery would be tricky. There is a slot on the base that I think is for routing the extension cord to take the weight off the plug end. Ryobi has several One+ fans. This unit has a 12-inch blade; whereas, the standard, non-misting, Ryobi Air Cannon uses an 18-inch blade, and Ryobi’s Bucket-Top, Misting Fan uses a 7.5-inch blade. I wouldn’t say that this fan is loud, but it is definitely louder than the old 16" Lasko fan I got for my home gym a few years ago. Low speed is fine, but I do have to speak louder to be heard with this fan on high. Of course, it is much, much quieter than most power tools so if you are purchasing it for a construction site, you won’t notice its sound at all! I think the extra noise might be attributable to the straight-line edges on this Ryobi because the blades on my gym fan are much rounder. I guess this design is what allows the Ryobi to move so much air! The head of the fan is adjustable, but fixed; it doesn’t automatically oscillate back and forth the way a lot of house fans do. If you stand right in front of the fan, it feels like you get wet, but farther out I feel the cooling effect without the wetness. The 4ah battery that came with the kit lasts for hours. The battery enclosure easily fits my largest Ryobi Battery which is 6ah so I think it would hold a 9ah battery. The weight of the 4ah battery makes it hard to tip over the fan, but not so heavy that it is hard to move. It is interesting that this 4ah battery is the exact same size and almost the same weight as my 6ah “High Performance”battery (25oz and 27 oz) see photos. I think it uses less than 2-gallons of water per hour, but, unlike the Ryobi Bucket Mister, this unit does not include a pump. If you don’t have a water spigot on site, a 5-gallon bucket could provide a couple hours of mist -- if you have an appropriately sized pump. I considered trying a gravity-fed system, but I read that ten feet of elevation only provides 4.3 psi pressure, and mist systems need more than that. I read that some commercial misters run at 800psi or higher to create tiny, fog-like droplets to cool the air without creating a heavy mist that feels wet or damp.

Can I use the misting feature inside of a garage?

You need a hose with std house pressure to feed the mister. It has no pump of its own. Also, the mister works best outdoors. After a while, indoors, it drives up the humidity level to be uncomfortable. So, if you have a garage door open, you'll be fine.

Do you have one that you can use in a bucket and also use it with the hose so you could take it places but you could also use it at home

How long will it run woth a 18 v battery

The higher the amp hour to longer the run time will be. To use the corded feature you would need to buy a 3 prong power cord that is GFCI rated, and simply plug the female end of your cord into the fan as shown on figure 3 page 11 of your manual, and the male end of the cord into the power source.
