Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tool without the air line! Every bit as good as pneumatic, powerful and much more convenient. Always remember the read the instructions on the way the chuck releases so you save frustration.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beast of a tool, quality built takes a beating. Was wanting the Milwaukee but watched YouTube and was said Ryobi was a beast compared to everyone else even snapon. This thing is insane I can't even stop it in all 4speeds. Never thought I'd ever buy a Ryobi but super happy I did with this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Die grinder I like the light weight and the light. The size of the tool means it fits in small spaces and with the interchangeable disk 2" or 4" it has some flexibility. It was used to polish some brass fittings and they look like new. It was also used to scrub away frayed ends of fiberglass. This is one of the best additions to my toolbox.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great tool - but no collet wrench storage spot Great tool that works great.- but I wish they would have included somewhere on the tool for you to store the collet wrench - a bit of an inconvenience

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Glaring design faults and lack of real world uses Attractive on paper, but too many overlooked design flaws and limitations to ignore, that really make you question whether this product ever should've been released to market at all. Issues include the high power needs of the tool and low torque as a result of the compact design that cause significant rpm drop under load with frequent stalling, especially if compact battery packs are used. This requires that this "compact" tool must be used with some of the least compact battery packs that ryobi offers to perform correctly and for any length of time, making this 'compact' die grinder not only easily the largest die grinder available to the consumer, but also imbalanced, unwieldy, awkward, not very portable and using a larger pack doesnt even completely solve the issue. Whats frustrating is what would have solved these issues would be if ryobi had just not made a true one + HP, not a compact, and and given it the ability to take advantage of the one + HP high output batteries. This would've allowed for lower power draw when spinning freely and a surge of power under load for higher torque, to main rpm, and correct stalling issues. A larger head would've actually made this a more balanced and easier to handle tool given the weight of the battery packs it requires. These types of issues are exactly what ryobi's high output battery packs were intended to correct, and it's impossible to understand why this tool was put onto market with the inability to fully utilize them. This is is exactly the type of tool that would have benefitted from them the most, and exactly the type of tool they were designed to be used in. And yet it doesn't have the ability to distinguish them from a typical battery pack, so the issues can't be corrected, even if a high output battery pack is used. When you couple this with the fact that ryobi does not recommend using any attachment greater than 2" in diameter, the lack of high speed attachments in that size, the high price tag and the abundance of low cost alternatives, it's very difficult to find any application where this tool gives an advantage over significantly lower priced alternatives, and why it was released to market at all.
