Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst vacuum ever, no suction, spits out dirt. I recently purchased this vacuum, it is a huge disappointment. I thought it would be like my other Ryobi purchases and be a decent machine but it is terrible. Do not waste your money on this vacuum, it spits out tiny pieces of dirt that it can't seem to suck up, have to go over area's a bunch of times for it to try to pickup anything, I have very low pile runners and hardwood floors and it can barely pickup anything, terrible suction, loud, worst vacuum I have ever owned. I unfortunately jumped the gun and threw away the box so I'm stuck with this lemon of a vacuum. Do yourself a favor and buy a different vacuum, this one is crap.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good vacuum but parts break I bought this vacuum 2 years ago. After 13 months, a piece broke in the roller head and the stick vacuum cannot hold its upright position anymore. It has to be stored against a wall or flat. Recently, the two plastic/rubber wheels of the roller heard broke. It is impossible to get the original parts from Ryobi Canada Parts Website. These wheels can only be purchased from third party companies on Etsy and Ebay. Most of them are produced in the US and it costs a minimum of $60 to get them. so as far as nothing breaks, this is a good vacuum...

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Falls to pieces I bought one of these just over a year ago. It started out great. But it didn't take long before the vacuum stated to Deteriorate piece by piece. First the floor roller lock broke, so it could no longer stand upright on its own. Then the cheaply made wheels broke off one by one. Now we have a vacuum with no wheels. Soon after that the two rollers stopped spinning.

Great little vacuum, has lots of power and good battery life, would recommend if you have plush carpet as the beater bar doesnt get slowed down very easily, this is the tool only version and doesnt come with alot of the extra attachments like the small upholstery beater bar attachment. Fairly quiet but does have a high pitch whine while running the unit in full power mode, has full power low power and beater bar on and off, when you turn it on its full power and bar on, buttons are in a bit of an awkward place and some times you can choke up on the handle too far and turn it off by accident but not a big problem, unit feels heavier then most stick vacuums but it not bad for my self, i wouldnt want my grandmother to have to pull it around though.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wall mount to save space is garbage. Good suction Great vacuum but the wallmount is garbage. Even in the manual it pictures it as on the floor but "mounted" aka locked into the wall but sitting on the floor. Made of cheap plastic. I'm going to return it for that reason. I believe the wall mount is manufactured wrong. If the clasp was the other way around it could possibly hold the vacuum up. But orientated with the attachment hooks (gravity) facing up it cannot hold anything.

I can hardly get my fingers in there. this is the third Ryobi stick vac model I got in the past few years and none of them seem to do what they are supposed to do. can't even get parts for the old ones I have. Ryobi has several different types of stick vac and this supposed to be the best and most expensive.

As you can see in the video, if it let me upload one, anything heavier, even cat litter just sits in the head and falls out when you lift it to transport, even if you lay the stick flat theirs not enough suction to pull the litter into the cannister. What a wait. And this was a replacement for the older model when it melted down. Especially disappointed since I have tons of Ryobi tools and batteries.

As a result is had just replaced my Roomba and I spend less time vacuuming than I did fiddling with the robot…

Can you use a regular 18V One+ battery with a HP (high performance) tool, or must you buy a HP battery?

Yes you can, but it depletes quite a bit faster than an HP battery. I quickly purchased a 2pk of the 6ah HP batteries after using a regular 4ah.
