Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ryobi Brushless mower Love this mower, I was impressed with the power and ease of getting this going also the way it propels itself going up a slope. The batteries charge very quickly and lasts a fair length of time. No more gas mowers for me, I could never get them started, this is easy peasy. If anyone is looking for a battery operated mower I suggest this one. Home Depot was very fast for delivery, the only thing that got me was that it came from Toronto, stopped in Calgary at their warehouse and then went on to the coastal warehouse and then back to Cranbrook, I would have thought it would have come straight from Calgary and into Cranbrook, would have saved 2-4 days travel time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ONE+ 2 battery mower with extra batteries Only issue I had was that it was a little confusing whether the unit used 2 or 4 batteries. It uses 2 batteries at a time and has storage for an additional two so you can change them in the field. 2 full batteries last 8-30 mins depending on the grass length, the motor automatically changes blade speed depnding on grass length, water content, resistance, etc. I was able to get 8 minutes per set of batteries cutting knee high, wet, thick grass with this mower, with the self propulsion activated. I normally get 30 minutes per set of batteries cutting 3-4" relatively dry grass using the self propulsion half of the time (up hills only to save battery power). Most days I cut I can cut my yard (15,000 square feet, which is 2/3 flat, and 1/3 15° slopes) in about 40 mins, going through 2 batteries completely and 1/2 of the second set. Excellent unit by ryobi, worth every penny (especially if you use ryobi tools, as four additional 4amp batteries is nice).

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Electrical burnout I bought the older model in May 2019. This summer it started cutting out then quit. Upon inspection the connector burnt out. The only repair Center is two hours away. How can this happen to a machine that is supposed to have so many safety features. Yes it’s 5 years old but only used in the summer on a small yard. Very disappointed is an understatement. Why should I purchase a Ryobi products. This machine should last for many many years. If it didn’t quit my review would be a 5

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight but powerful I bought this mower to replace a gas mowrr that had failed. I'm very impressed. After fully charging the batteries, the mower cut a out half the yard before requiring anotjer charge (i have a big yard.) This mower has all the cutting power of any comparable gas mower. It really is quieter, and so much loghter to be able to push. Folding the handle and being able to store the mower upright is a huge plus as well. I have many Ryobi tools and do not regret a single one.

This is an upgrade from my 16” brushless mower which went to camp this year. The batteries that come with it are more than enough to do our yard. Now that the grass is thicker we have change them out with the second set towards the end. I also like that this is a lot quieter than a gas mower and that it can be stored upright to save in space. My wife also gives it 2 thumbs up

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this mower, great addition to my Ryobi tools Very happy with this lawn mower. Bought this one for a couple reasons. Mainly the use of the 18 volt batteries as I have many of them. It runs in series so basically getting 40 volts anyways, and batteries are much cheaper for the 18v vs 40v. We have 4500 sq st of lawn to cut. The 1st time i used it, I had to use all 4 batteries simply because i was using the self drive a lot to try it out. The next 5 times I have cut our lawn, i only used the self drive on the small hill part of the lawn and everytime I only had to use 2 batteries and when i was finished, both batteries still had 2 bars left. So self drive works nice, but it will cut runtime down a bit. Love how quiet it is as well. Super easy to store too. Now if I could only get a higher end Ryobi snowblower that runs the 18v batteries is series too, I would be extremely happy lol.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Deception I bought it about 2 weeks ago. I’m very disappointed by the autonomy of the batteries. It says 45 minutes, but each pair of batteries last about 15 minutes. Moreover, it’s written 30 minutes to charge, but it takes about 1 hour. Finally, you can’t put the batteries on the charge directly after you used it, the light on the charger tells you the batteries are too hot to charge.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from OK, but could be more reliable. Every once in a while (3-5 times) as I cut the grass the motor stops. I then need to start the mower again. Also, the Self-Propelled wheels do not always engage. It does a great job of cutting the grass. Also, 2 batteries last long enough to cut my lawn twice so I only have to swap out the batteries every third cut.

why does the US version have 2 rapid chargers but in Canada it is sold with only 1 charger?

opened the box. charged the batteries, assembled the mower with the bag and batteries and the key. it did not start at all. anyone had the same experience? there is no video on youtube regarding this model to review and troubleshoot. so I returned it.
