The Ryobi 18V ONE+ Brushless Drill/Driver and Impact Driver Kit provides superior lithium-ion performance to get the job done. The drill includes a 1/2 inch keyless Jacobs Chuck with 24-position clutch to match your drilling and driving needs. The impact driver has a variable-speed trigger and 1800 inch lbs. of torque to provide control and power when driving long and large screws or bolts. They both feature the exclusive MAGTRAY onboard bit storage which allow convenient placement of bits and screws, a belt clip that mounts to both sides, and an LED light to illuminate the work area. Two lithium-ion batteries and a charger are included that will power all 18V ONE+ tools. This is all covered under a 3-year manufacturer's warranty.

My dewalt stuff was stolen, insurance wasnt quite enough to replace with all new dewalt tools, so i took a chance and tried the ryobi one tools, just one at first, and i kept getting them one at a time so i could see how they were as i was skeptical, and I will never again throw away money on 2nd rate dewalt junk (the old stuff was good new gen is cheap junk with a dewalt brand on it) These are by far the best low to mid range price tools. they are easily on par with the yellow junk, and still outclassed by milwakee but for the price, amazing value and quality

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good, but... This drill is now about 6 weeks old, and replaces my previous Ryobi 18V (gave that to my son after 5+ years of DIY use). Lots of torque, good light, chuck is good, and seems comfortable to use. But the trigger is significantly more sensitive than the old drill. It may be me, but after 6 weeks I expected to be used to it. Still tearing out screw heads. Also, one of the batteries has already died. I haven't returned it yet, but I've never had any issues with the other 8 or 9 Ryobi batteries I own. And I expect HD to honour their return policy as always. Overall, a good tool.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good combo, drops drill bits constantly Powerful motors, great battery life so far, good ergonomics. Clutch on drill/driver works very well to limit driving force. Impact driver is a beast. Drill/Driver has a heavy Jacobs chuck which should be a plus, and the drill rotation stops quickly when the trigger is released, also a plus. In combination these two features conspire to open the chuck when the drill stops, and the drill bit falls out. I wouldn't use this drill working at height, over grass, or anywhere where you might lose your drill bit when it inevitably falls out of the chuck jaws. For driving, the chuck has a collet at the back which is very handy and if engaged on a drill bit with a hex base, the bit probably would not fall out when the jaws loosen.

I find the variable speed on the driver trigger to be far too sensitive. I’ve made it through the majority of a 20x16 deck build and think I maybe should have gone to dewalt or Milwaukee.

However they are on the heavy side especially for brushless, the 1/4" impact driver is just as heavy as my Makita 1/2" impact wrench tool-for-tool (no battery) and that puts out quite a bit more torque.
