Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love Ryobi battery powered hand tools! I have 4 Ryobi tools plus the 38" riding lawnmower. Two of the power tools are more than 8 years old and continue to perform as new. During that time I have replaced two out of six batteries which I think is not bad based on my experience with other battery powered tools. One of these failed because I left the tool outside in sub-zero weather when discharged - my bad. I expect to get at least 5 years from my batteries and so it's too soon to tell with the new ones but I have confidence that they will do the job for a long time. I like the high capacity, they're a bit heavier but this will be more than offset by the extended charge life on big jobs. Ryobi is my power tool of choice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Use these big ones for the saws and grinder I wiped out one of the small batteries using it on the grinder. Definitely one needs the big 4Ah batteries on the reciprocating and circular saw, and the grinder....more cutting power, and much longer life between charges. The drills work fine on the smaller batteries. I bought two more of the 4Ah batteries on this virtually half price internet deal that doesn't show up on the store shelves. Of course if you use the big ones on the drills they run forever, or so it seems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ryobi 4-Ah 2-pack Great buy in Feb. 2021 on sale -- 2-pack for $60. Charged them up, and they worked fine in drill and impact driver. So far, only occasional use. The real test will be using them over time in Ryobi chainsaw and string trimmer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Batteries Great batteries and well worth the money as an upgrade to the 2.0 Ah battery. I've had 8 of these running regularly on many different tools for 3-4 years and have never experienced any issues. I've dropped them on concrete and off a roof and they still run as good as the day I bought them. No noticeable drop in longevity either which is surprising. Even store one in my car in temperatures of -20C and it runs great.

Never had the receipt so got no support at store. decided to purchase these and held on to receipt...one stopped taking a charge 6 months in. Up to that point worked really well and was pleased with performance. Kept receipt and went back to store...no support there. Gave me a card to contact ryobie directly. did that and now waiting for replacement battery.

Just purchased the 18V lawn mower hybrid - purchased a set of the High Capacity 4.0 Ah batteries - and they lasted thru the entire lawn. The ability to push the button and see the battery level is fantastic. Takes the guess work out of it. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unbelieve battery life... You've got a whopping 4Ah of energy stored, per battery! That's enough to run a load of 4 Amps for 1 hour, or 1 Amp for 4 hours, or 0.1 Amps for 40 hours, or 0.01 Amps for an unbelievable 400 hours! That's more than sixteen days my friends! The secret to long battery life is to keep the Amps low so it can last for days! Ryobi mastered this secret and now it's available to all! What else can I say? It's a brushless battery. And in fact, you get 2 of them! Alessandro Volta would be proud!!

Can I use the P117 charge for these batteries?

I dropped a RYOBI 18V High Capacity 4.0 Ah Battery in a bucket of water. When I press the battery light, one light flashes green. How do you recommend drying it out?? I shook the water out and opened a corner of the case and left it in the sun to dry.

Does the increased tool performance apply when these batteries used/paired with the brushLESS tools only? Don't we get the same increased performance on our brushed tools as well? Thanks

I have several brushed tools and noticed a substantial increase in usage time. Most notably my line trimmer and circular saw, as these were the two tools that commonly needed a battery swap before I was done working with them.

What is the difference between the Ryobi P145, P129 & P192 4.0ah batteries?

These three batteries all have on-battery gauges (sames as P108 4.0AH). The P129 battery (Lithium+) gives higher tool performance throughout the charge (up to 35%) and supposedly higher extreme weather performance than P145(Lithium, no +). The P192 is Lithium+ with some extra connectors for the HP compatible tools.

What is the difference between Model #P129 and PSK003? i just picked up PSK003 but realized that P129 is much cheaper.
