Rated 5 out of 5 by from Professional "home" drill with lots of battery lif I can't speak as a professional needing this for work, but as a weekend warrior needing a drill for home projects, I can't be any more impressed. The drill has all the key features you want in a drill along with the horsepower to do it. I've had a couple others cordless in the past and I know my dad was a labourer that had niCad batteries all over the house, so the problem is with providing the torque while maintaining a long batter life. I used it one Saturday for 4 hours straight and consumed no more than 25% battery, so I certainly could have gone longer. This kit has a second battery! I love it and for the price, thank you Ryobi.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don’t waste your money and time Left my normal drill at the cottage, bought this little one to do some small jobs hanging shelves, will only drill in counter clockwise rotation, not clockwise. I could sort of get it working if I turned it to the side and played with the trigger, after drilling 2 holes into drywall it stopped doing even that. Returning tomorrow. Must have a lose connection somewhere. First and last Ryobi purchase.

I've used it many times and even built a deck with it and have had no issues. It would be nice if there was a little bit of a warning when the battery is about to die but other than that it works quite well. I would recommend it

This thing is WAY more than just a cheap replacement. From the magnet pad for holding drill bits and screws to the nose end light that helps you easily see what you're working on, this drill has everything you need and more!

I think the torque is a bit weak to be honest, but I am used to using corded drills which I suspect have more torque available by default. Today one finally gave up it's little ghost, I suspect the trigger control or the motor. I will order replacements, and fix it, alternatively, buy an new one.

I'm just a non experienced DIYer. Just want to be able to hang curtains, possibly put together furniture etc that can be done using a drill. Is this suitable? Also might need to drill into brick, is this drill suitable? THX IN ADVANCE

Absolutely! I got this drill for my husband, but I'm actually the one using it constantly. Easy to handle and strong enough for tougher tasks too. The battery lasts fairly long, so you can do a lot of work between 2 of them.

I have an old ONE+ P204 drill with 2 x EE1203 nicad batteries that will not charge. Is there any way to rejuvenate those batteries? Or, if not will the Lion batteries fit this drill?
