Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handi This led light is small and extremely handi. I already had the one with the standard bulb this is so much better! The light is more white if that makes any sense. Its beam is more refined and clear I also like the options for hanging the light so it shines where you want it including the handle perfectly fitting a 2x4. The head of the light swivels like the old light and lets you fine tune the beam to your location. I left it on for several hours while we were outside and the small battery (I think its a 1.5ah battery ) stayed strong and never showed any weakness. All said and done this is the best light for the money I've seen and I will buy another soon.

It's comforting to know that as long as you have a charger and battery nearby you can grab a working flashlight when you need one. No fumbling around to replace the battery because it went dead after a year of non use. Better get two along with a second handvac. That way you can find yours when you need instead of hunting for where the wife left it last time. So I mounted a charger and battery for her along with this flashlight and the Ryobi handvac. But that doesn't qualify as a birthday or anniversary present so don't try! (A friend told me).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lightweight, very adjustable light beam. This is much better than my old blue Ryobi 18v light. The beam is much more adjustable and the unit more stable when using under a car, etc. The bulb is still the very weak point in the unit. I have replaced the incandescent bulb with an LED bulb. The LED PR2-1WHP-30 works for 7 to 30 volt lights and has no filament to break. Costs about $11 but will never break and never burn-out.

If you have a Ryobi 18 volt drill, or impact driver, or saw or all of the above, then this is a great addition to your collection. It will probably pay for it's self in what you will save in flashlight batteries. I liked this 18 volt flashlight so much, that I bought a second one. I always carry a Ryobi 18 volt impact driver, and Ryobi 18 volt tire inflater in my car when I travel, and now the flashlight too. This flashlight has a bright light, it is using an 18 volt Ryobi battery. The lens swivels about 359° to aim slightly down, to either side or up at about a 74° angle. You can set it down and have it light a work area above. It also has a button type switch for selecting either of two conditions, on or off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome little light! I picked one of these up to help with installing a security system at my buddies house. He has several other Ryobi lights that came in handy but there was a tight corner that I needed to drill in and positioning myself in a safe and effecting manner blocked all other light. This little light came in handy as I could put it out of the way and angle it exactly where I needed light. I understand that's a bit of a special and unique circumstance, but it simply shows how versatile this light can be. It is a great addition to the other lights I was using and will come in handy again. While it's not the brightest light, that is what you want sometimes. Too much light can be harsh on your vision. This little light provides a decent amount of light without being excessive.

This light has come in handy so many times already, and I've only had it a few months. The multiple mounting options allow you to hand it from a 2x4 or what seems to be the head of a nail or screw in the wall. I would careful with that option though as it puts a lot of pressure (more with bigger batteries) on the small plastic "key". I haven't found a need to hang it that way yet, but I would be cautious. The swivel head allows you to rotate it nearly 180* in either direction achieving nearly a 360* rotation, which comes in handy when trying to illuminate tight spaces. I recently had to drill a whole in the corner of a ceiling to pass a wire through and this light lit up the area perfectly! It's not to bright, but definitely bright enough to allow you to see what you are doing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from all good except flashlight bulb I am very happy with all the tool that came in the kit except the flashlight bulb stopped working after only a couple uses- with such a faulty bulb they should send 10 bulbs with each flashlight- I went to buy a 18 volt bulb and they wanted the same money for a bulb as buying a new flashlight. that is the only thing that I am really dissatisfied with. the saw worked great for cutting all the paneling for both rooms and the same battery is still going. I bought the nailer/staple gun and that worked excellent so if only they would replace these faulty bulbs or supply more with the light.

I use to use Dewalt and about fifteen years ago I purchased my first Ryobi Drill. And I was hooked! Need I say I'm a BIG Ryobi fan. Quality is fantastic and you really can't beat the price anywhere or among any other tools. I have two Ryobi 18-Volt lights and needed a third. I keep these around the house when the power goes out, nice to have a GREAT flashlight. And the grandkids love playing with them tool. These are well built, well constructed, take a beating and keep on lighting. This recent purchase is the brightest one of the three I own and one or mine is 15 years old, so they are built to last. Thanks Ryobi and Thanks Home Depot for such great products in an 18 volt battery line of professional tools priced for all of us.

If the light stays on and totally drains battery will it hurt the battey?
Asked by: Fredm
The Ryobi one+ lithiums are designed to be run down fully before recharging. They'll keep full power until the end, and then shut off the tool. You can also recharge at any time, if only partially discharged. Charging cycles on these are about 600 times, either way, so about 2 years if you run them down every day, or 10 years if you charge only once a week.

Yes the head rotates and when you rotate it 180 degrees, it will be pointing up.

how much is the battery?

how much is the battery?
Asked by: why
Price is dependent on the size battery. EX: 3 hour battery is more expensive than a 1 hour. If you have several Ryobi tools, go for the battery/charger starter package which includes two 3 hr batteries and a charger. Prices at about $99; reasonable.

Does it come with a SPARE BULB like my earlier model did?
Asked by: Keith
No it doesn't. Being an LED bulb it should last a long time. I've had mine for 3 years and use it a lot, no problems. Battery life with this bulb is really good.
