Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor performance I bought this about 3 months ago to clean my deck. Blue nozzle does basically nothing --- I literally get a stronger jet putting the blue nozzle on the end of my garden hose. With orange nozzle, I had to keep nozzle about 3" from my decking, cleaning a path about 2-3" wide. Took all afternoon to clean my deck. (Hose I was supplying it with delivers 5X washer rated output.) I called Ryobi service and he said all this was normal. Note that instructions say use blue nozzle for decking, or orange nozzle use with caution. If this is normal for this pressure washer, you may wish to investigate other washers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good unit but not total stop system It's not the total stop system version, so if you were looking for that, as I was, keep looking. It works well for basic stuff like car washing, and the difference between this model and more high powered electric pressure washers from the consumer brands is minimal. If you've watched a million reviews on pressure washers before buying, liie I did, you'll be sad to see that this isn't the total stop system version, but it gets the job done. Next time I buy a pressure washer though, I won't be compromising on that requirement because every time I use this, I wish I had it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple and quick to use Bought this today and immediately used it for about an hour. I was very impressed having switched from a gas powered unit. It delivers the cleaning power and is quieter than I expected. The operation is very simple and whats more is that my wife found it equally simple to use than our previous gas model. I gave it a 4/5 because I was somewhat disappointed in the fact that the soap tank must be completely drained of soap and rinsed by running the pressure washer. I would have thought there would have been a bypass for the soap tank so that you could leave soap in the tank and use it again when needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from RYOBI 142300 power washer I researched power washers and chose the Ryobi 142300. I bought this a few days ago at Home Depot and with the pandemic on had it delivered to my home. Home Depot was great, they said delivery in 2 to 4 days and it was delivered in 3 days. I assembled it which was VERY easy and went through the instructions which are easy to read and pretty straight forward. Spent this morning using it on my patio and some lawn ornaments. I thought this machine would be a good choice and its BETTER than I could have hoped. Its easy to use, does an excellent job and is not all that loud. Attaching the hose and the wand can be a little tricky but not a big deal. I've rented power washers in the past and this is much simpler to use and so far has done as good as or better job. GREAT!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is one of the good ones This power washer works as advertised. I confess that I did replace the pressure hose with another that would not kink as much as advised on You-Tube. I washed my whole two story house including windows, 2 sheds, drive-way and garage floor and it worked as advertised all the way through. The machine is easy to maneuver. The wand is easy to use. I used 15 nozzle and it was strong enough to do all of my cleaning. I did not use soap so have not tried out that part. Safety items like click off pressure nozzle work well too. If this machine works as well next year I will be really pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MUCH BETTER THAN EXPECTED!!! This is an amazing electric pressure washer! Its Winter here so have only used it a few times so far, but cleans the cars like a car wash, made me cement walk look like new, took the mold and moss off the eves with ease. The delivery was VERY QUICK!! Setup was a snap and the directions are very easy to understand. The power of this pressure washer is Excellent for almost every household need!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Unit, but Wand Failed After About Eight Uses Bought this May 2022 and in the subsequent 10 months have used it about eight times. Works quite well, better than previous pressure washers I've owned, but I just got it out to use it to wash a car and the wand has failed—the valve inside it has seized or something, as no water can pass through it. This unit comes with a three-year warranty, so I called Ryobi and was told that the hoses and wands are only warranted for 90 days, indicating their confidence in their quality. Buyer beware.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Useless I bought this three years ago and only need it to clean my deck once or twice a year so it has only been used a handful of times. Went to use it this year and the pressure was minimal. I was told by the recommended service agent that the only way to fix it would be to replace the whole assembly. Besides the fact that the parts are not available in Canada at the moment, the cost is prohibitive ie buy a new one.

An I clean my car or Is it too powerful

Asked by: andreiste
It is fine to clean your car, you just need to select the correct attachment. The unit comes with three attachments, one for applying soap, one for spray and one for high pressure. If you avoid the high pressure attachment you will be fine. I would recommend keeping the end of the spray nozzle more than 4 inches from the vehicle surface when spraying to avoid damaging any plastic type finishes on the vehicle.

Is the hose plastic or rubber? Does Home Depot sell an extension hose?

Asked by: jordantbirch
Not rubber. I'd say vinyl. Overall I'm very pleased with the unit. Best pressure washer I've owned.

What size is the hose fittings for quick connect?

Asked by: Big Bad
Hi -Big Bad, Thanks for reaching out to us. This 2,300 PSI 1.2 GPM High Performance Electric Pressure Washer utilizes a 5/8-inch connection which is the standard size for most universal garden hoses. We hope this information helps! Thanks, RYOBI Canada Team.

What exactly can you wash with this washer? Is it good for washing grills or car?

Asked by: TC2020
It is very good for washing cars. Never tried it on grills but works well on garden furniture. This is an electric pressure washer, hence power is limited by home electric circuits (usually 15A). If you want to wash a concrete driveway, you will probably be much faster with a gas powered pressure washer.

I read that the latest model has the intake inline with the outtake which is not what is shown in the pictures. On the Home Depot US site, we see that, however not on the Canada site with the same part number.

Asked by: steph
So this version sold in Canada does not have total stop system then. When can we have the tss upgrade?

Asked by: Alina
Hi Alina, Thanks for reaching out to us. This 2,300 PSI 1.2 GPM High Performance Electric Pressure Washer comes with a 35 ft. GFCI extension cord that protects you and the product from any electrical issue if water touches any electrical component. Can this unit pull from a water reserve or does it require to be attached to a tap?

Asked by: Cari23
This unit requires water pressure on the inlet feed, I use at the cottage and on a well pump with 30 PSI, it takes about 5 min of use before the output pressure stabilizes steady . it fluctuates until that time. But works well once it purges air in the lines and garden hose.

I just received my new pw and set it up and started it to make sure it ran. It doesn't shut off when you release the trigger? It slows down a bit but doesn't completely shut off. Is this correct? If i knew that i probably wouldnt have bought

Asked by: Don64
That's correct.  The motor will continue to run when the trigger is released.  Years ago, I purchased a Simoniz electric pressure washer from Canadian Tire and the motor would stop when I released the trigger.  I expected the same operation with the Ryobi but I figured they designed it that way so you always have "pressure on demand".  I just turn mine off when I'm not using it for an extended amount of time.  I've had mine for a couple of years now and I've had no issues with it.  Much better than the Simoniz ones!
