Rated 5 out of 5 by from Work smarter not harder! Best Toy I've ever purchased! Best toy I've ever purchased! It cuts evenly throughout although, sometimes I have to make a secondary pass but I think it's because I have rye grass and only experience this when the grass is wet. Otherwise, loving it!!! Besides using it to mow the lawn, I also use it to spread seeds and fertilizer by attaching the pull behind spreader. I also use it to pull bags of top soil and mulch with my tow behind utility cart.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bought in 2017 now replacing batteries As stated bought mine in 2017, the 75 Ah model, and this week replaced the batteries with the 100 Ah. The new batties cost $1025. I used YouTube to learn how to replace them. I took my time. I also learned about adding a 48-volt PowerPulse to the batteries. It will extend the life of your batteries. My cut time had dropped to 30 minutes, and the mower was slower. Then it would cut off & I'd ride it back to the charger. I love the mower. I see some of the newer mowers; the batteries pop out & pop in. Like the power tools. I am looking forward to several more years from these new batteries. I was upset at first about the cost of the batteries, but I did get five years from these. I bought the Lawn Mower from Home Depot, and I think it was about $2499 back then. The 100 Ah batteries are larger, and I had to remove the spacers and the front adjustment bar on the battery tray. Would I buy it again? Yes. Now I am trying to meet the 500 characters. Trying to get it to turn green. Well, this is uncomfortable, sort of like running out of things to say. Hows is the family? Mine? Oh, thanks for asking. Mine is fine. I have a 7-year-old dog named Finn. He's the perfect size for us.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don’t buy this—GARBAGE i’ve gone back and forth with ryobi for two years. first they replaced batteries because the mower was dying after an hour. 3 months with the new batteries and started to die again around 45 minutes. now i can’t get it to last more than 30 minutes. their people promised to set up service but never did. listen, just don’t buy this ryobi mower. electric or gas, whatever you prefer but i advise to STAY AWAY FROM RYOBI MOWERS. this is a waste of thousands of dollars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 438 hours, 4.5 years, still going strong I store this mower outside under my deck in NJ. During winter and all. Always plugged in. Still on original batteries. Battery meter is off when it's under 50 degrees outside. But original batteries and still mows my 1 acre with 1/4 charge left when done. Thick grass as well causes blades to slow down, but still very nice cut. This mower was worth every penny when I bought it. People shouldn't not pick use common sense. Your battery meter will not be accurate when it is not ideal temperature.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One month into using this mower and I’m glad I... One month into using this mower and I’m glad I made the switch. The batteries are under the rider and I have a property with some hills. The added weight makes this mower capable of going up steeper climbs than my front engine mower could. It might be slower than the gas mower, but it’s significantly cheaper to operate and, even if I have to replace the batteries every three years, I’ll be ahead. It’s super quiet and I don’t have to make a trip to the gas station anymore. Some things I think could be improved are the cruise control from getting away after moving over a hill and the acceleration peddle sensitivity could be better. I’m very happy with the mower. I haven’t done the financial breakdown to see if it’s an economic gain; but, mowing my 3/4 acre lawn is so much easier. The battery is usually at around 50% when I’m done with a mow. I’ll probably get some accessories for it like a lawn roller, aerator, dethatcher, and leaf bagging system. I would recommend this to anyone with 1.5 acres or less.

What is the Voltage shown for a fully charged battery on a Ryobi 48V 100Ah Battery?
Asked by: James
I have modified the BLM on my mower to show pack volts, % of usable charge, and hours run. I have seen start pack voltage anywhere from 54.2 down to 50.2. Mower is 45 mos. old w/ 338 charges, 179 mows & 121 hours of run time.

Is this mower capable of climbing and mow a gentle slope?
Asked by: bulkwarrior
Hello, Bulkwarrior - Thank you for your interest in the 48V Brushless 38 in. 100 Ah Battery Electric Rear Engine Riding Lawn Mower. As long as the slope if not greater than 15º then you should have no problems. Do not operate on steep slopes or inclines greater than 15º. Mow up and down the face of slopes, never across.  Additionally, if you need further support, then a RYOBI Customer Experience Professional is here for you, Monday - Friday from 9 am to 6 pm (EST) when you call or text us at 1.800.525.2579 or through email or live chat when you visit us at https://www.ryobitools.com/support/contact. How hard is it to remove the battery. E.g., if I just want to store the battery inside at night, is that a big operation?

Asked by: Mikey
There’s a rear cover to remove along with disconnecting the main plug under the seat. Then it’s three batteries to disconnect and remove. I really don’t think it’s worthwhile. Your owners manual will give you more details on removal. Hope this helps

Is there any way to get rid of the noise when going in reverse? The noise is really loud and annoying every time you have to reverse which is often when cutting grass. Kind of defeats the purpose of a quiet battery powered mower
