Taking it over of the shipping metal container was the difficult part and to dispose of the metal shipping frame was not easy. Other than that the mower was easy to assembly a few parts. The mower is a charm to ride on and maneuver. The bagger is a nice arrangement and easy to remove and the grass clippings.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from As far as I know, this is the only bagger compatible with the Ryobi electric riding mower, so of ... As far as I know, this is the only bagger compatible with the Ryobi electric riding mower, so of course I'd recommend this particular product, at least to anyone who wants a bagger for their Ryobi electric riding mower. The whole system is simple and seems reasonably well designed and constructed. The mesh bags are very easy to handle, and include a hard plastic insert at the bottom, and a strap as well to make it easy to dump clippings out. Assembly is also very easy: one bolt holds the support frame to the mower and everything else just fits onto the frame or attaches to the mower with rubber-elastic clips. The discharge chute is two pieces, and while they were initially a little stubborn when attaching the two pieces to each other, because the upper chute wasn't quite perfectly round, now that they have been in use for a couple of weeks, they slide on and off each other easily. The basic mechanisms on the bagger are also simple, for attaching the parts, and for lifting the cover. The "latch" is just a flexible piece of plastic that holds the cover down, and the upper chute slides into the cover through a rubber gasket. Very little to go wrong with any of these pieces, other than just wearing out from fatigue over time. Catching clippings works pretty well. However, the upper chute has a paddle wheel that is supposed to spin under normal conditions, and stop spinning when the clippings need to be emptied, and I've never seen this work. Even with a completely empty bag, it doesn't move. With a well-watered lawn, just the moisture *in* the grass is sufficient to be a problem. You'll want to empty the bags early, before the left side one gets more than half full. Otherwise, the clippings just wind up stalling in the discharge chute, and then building up in the mower deck. They build up in the mower deck anyway, requiring one to stop periodically and scoop the clippings out, lest they bog down the mower blades, and then get dumped in large piles in the lawn (negating the point of bagging). But you can avoid having to do that too often by emptying the bags more frequently. My lawn is always moist because it's getting a lot of watering and rain, to let the newly-planted grass establish itself. And with the "starter" fertilizer put on with the new seed, the grass is growing like crazy. Even mowing a couple of times a week, the clippings are at least 3-4" long. So even after a few days without water, the clippings are long and wet and I have these hassles with all the extra work dumping clippings and cleaning out the mower deck. I look forward to when the grass is in good enough that things are relatively dry and I'm only cutting an inch or two each time. I expect that will involve at least a little less manual intervention all the time.

I have used it twice and according to the voltage meter after 40 minutes of mowing batteries are drained to 1 green bar. Not at all like other reviews I read before buying the mower. hope it gets better over time.
