Ryobi delivers more value and performance with more power and features than ever before in this variable speed jig saw. Orbital action is controlled by the SpeedMatch dial - just set it to the cut quality or speed preferred and get to work. An integrated dust blower keeps debris away from the cut line, while the LED light helps illuminate dark work areas to get the job done no matter the time of day. Other features include a 6 ft. long power cord and the new and improved GripZone over-mold that helps provide a comfortable grip on all touch points.

Is this jigsaw capable of cutting through 2x4 material? Would I need a different blade and if so is there one that is compatible with this saw that could get the job done? Thank you.

This will cut a 2x4... but won’t be super straight or flush compared to circular saw

Why the Variable speed is 600-3000 SPM? Does the speed goes below 600?

Thank you Ryobi for the helpful answer. Instead of calling the number provided it was easier / faster for me to zip to my local HD and buy the Jigsaw. Its true the speed can be set to start from zero and in addition its an excellent jigsaw with many features and nice looking too.

is it true that this Jigsaw doesn't fit universal sized T shank blades? (Bosch blades)?
