Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quite good This was quite a surprise. I needed an electric shovel because my shoulder gave out. It is a super easy to handle snow blower. The two batteries give it enough power to do my entire driveway and paths to front door and propane tank.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Falling apart already Unfortunately, I've had it for 2 months and it is falling apart already. There is a cheap plastic part attached with some screws at the bottom that has broken off. I will be trying out the warranty, but can't recommend at present.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Stalls For No Reason I’ve had this machine for about a month. When running at full speed, this snow blower stalls for no reason even in minimal snow. I’ve seen many other reviews mentioning the same issue, and my neighbour also bought one and it happens to his machine as well. So the stalling issue appears to be related to a design flaw with the product. I’ve found the stalling problem goes away for me by lowering the throttle to half speed or less. I’ve contacted Ryobi about the issue and they had no solution for me other than suggesting I bring it to an authorized service location. I’ll live with it for now, since it works well enough at half throttle.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great at blowing snow, but... [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this snow blower in early December; used three times so far here in Wisconsin and have no complaints about this machine's ability to throw snow off my driveway. Surprisingly powerful, in fact. However, one irritation/flaw with this machine is the handlebars don't stay in place when you extend them - they always fall back into the lowest position. I don't know if this issue is dependent on how tight you have the lower bolts, but it's really frustrating. I've seen other reviews mention this issue and wonder if Ryobi has a solution?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well, it works great as long as there is less... Well, it works great as long as there is less than a 6-inch snowfall. Also, having 2 chargers would really help the process along. With only one charger it takes twice as long to be ready for more snow. I LOVE not having to mess with gas.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from perfect for southern Wi Live in Madison area and so far this has been the perfect tool. Does great one smaller amounts of snow and on the one big snow fall we have gotten 8 inches it got the job done. When clearing big drifts (a foot plus) sometimes it takes a little extra effort on the user side but still can get through it. Only conplaint is the shoot wants to automatically turn itself frontward and doesnt lock into place well when shooting snow to either side. We live on a corner lot with lots of sidewalk and a very small driveway, perfect for our situation

Rated 1 out of 5 by from The farthest it went without turning off for some reason... The farthest it went without turning off for some reason was maybe 3 feet. Would intermittently turn off for no apparent reason. Very frustrating! I have a Ryobi cordless lawn mower and weeder that work great, but the snow blower was returned within a week.

will it work with one battery plug in?

Asked by: digue
Hi -digue, Thanks for reaching out to us. Our 40V 21-inch Brushless Cordless Electric Snow Blower kit with (2) 5.0 Ah Batteries only requires (1) battery to perform in the toughest conditions. As you may see, there are two slots within the battery compartment. (1) is active and will run this snow blower as you insert a fully charger 40V battery. The other slot is a holder for another fully charger battery. This save users time from having to run back inside or to their garage to grab another battery if their current one in use needs charging. One great reason we offer this 21-inch Snow Blower with (2) batteries is to provide customers with continuous run time. As one battery requires charging, the other fully charged battery will help users continue their task. This essentially creates a continuous cycle of runtime. We hope all this information helps! Thanks, RYOBI Canada Team.

Hello, I recently purchased this snow blower and it kept turning off. It did this multiple times. There was no more than 2 inches of snow so this snow blower should have had no issues. The batteries were charged 100 percent. What could cause this?

Asked by: Adhawk08

We want to ensure your are well taken care of and also aware this is not a common issue. Please ensure the product's handle bars are full extended and locked in their proper place. I am having trouble installing the chute. It doesn’t seem to click in anywhere and I can’t find any videos or install support.  Anyone else have this problem?

Asked by: Sarasnothere
yes I had some trouble...I just twisted it round till it finally went in....the instructions are not good. I looked for video on that and other parts and couldn't find an assembly video at all. Also supposed to pop the screw in that is sent into a hole on the base....but there is nothing for it to attach to, unless you are supposed to somehow drill it through the bottom layer of the chute base.....I've just done this today with maybe 4-5 inches of snow...medium wet. Snow only blew about 12 feet at most. I may take it back...going to give it another try this week when the next batch of snow comes. Then I'll have to drive an hour to my nearest Home Depot!

Can this be used on a gravel driveway?

Asked by: JamesL
I have a half paved half gravel driveway. Works fine on the gravel part, I just had to be mindful to keep the front pointed up a bit to avoid throwing rocks on that part. Just can't expect to clear as much as on a flat/hard surface.

Is this machine, powerful enough to tackle the snow remnants left by a street plow at the bottom of the driveway.

Asked by: Chowdhury
If you catch it before it gets soft it can do it. I use mine to do the back porch. It works great but when it hits a patch of snow that's been there for a while which has hada chance to soften then harden it does not do well.

How long does it take to charge the battery to 100%. I opened a new box this morning and put one battery on charge, it’s been now 6 hours and it still is flashing green.

Asked by: Gian
Hi Gian, A full charge should take 3-4 hours at room temperature, the power gauge on the battery will be a good indicator of when the battery is at full charge. Thank you, Ryobi Canada Team.
