Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wet snow, no problem Sticky wet snow. Batteries charged up (using a 40V from my Ryobi lawn mower fits perfect and works, 6Ah) You need to plan where the snow is going be thrown. And I kept the power on when turning around pivoting. So my driveway is 25ft long and 15ft wide. Did the zamboni pattern, throwing the snow back onto my lawn. If it's windy the snow will blow back into your face. The throwing distance is about 10-12ft. We got a 15cm dump of wet snow and it did a good job. Instead of 45min of shoveling, it now takes 15min. 4 stars, the shaft bolts look attachment locations could begin to loosen up. And the bumping, lifting, could place excra stress on the slip joints and wobblyness in the shatf could develop. Good job, save me time and energy. Used 4 times in 2024 so far, good investment

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Never worked and still does not after repair. We bought this Ryobi in the winter of 2022 and it never worked. We called Ryobi, finally we were dirrected the ONE service place in Vancouver and took it there. The issue we were told, after 3 months of waiting, was the circuit board and finally your main office sent a new handle/motor. We could not really try it until this year and our first light snow. It still does not function properly. It starts and stops and starts and stops. We have never been able to use this shovel AT ALL since we bought it. We paid $409 at Home Depot. We have other Ryobi products which are great, but this one is causing us distress. We are seniors depending on having some power for shovelling the small amount of snow here in BC. But we need it. At this point, I would like a refund since we have never had the benefit of one winter using it. That is a lot to pay to haul the item back and forth for repair.

I didn't have to buy a battery as my lawn mower is also the same brand so the battery is shared thus knocking the price down. Ton of snow just last week in Vancouver and I was able to clear it with much quicker time than before. Didn't want to spend like $2k for a full snowblower for my pretty small driveway. If you have bigger land to clear, this is not as suitable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great little snow eater. I already had the batteries for the mower so after watching a few videos I ordered one. I was actually impressed by how far it thru the snow. Its a good in between tool from shovel to snow blower. I like it because you avoid the heavy snow on the end of your shove to throw. Its also good to get rid of the snow at the end of the driveway after the plow goes by. It is plastic so watch for any hard or iced snow or you could damage it. I only wish it was a little wider than 12 inches.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well Purchased Tool only as I already own the mower and trimmer. Intended on using this to clear off our large deck and smaller areas around vehicles if needed. I just cleared the entire multi car driveway on a single battery! 6"of day old wet heavy snow. It did a fine job. However I'd prefer to have the ability to angle or point the snow in some way other then straight. Not a big deal for the money it's worth it.

I bought one like this 2 years ago. I returned it because the switch stopped working. When I read reviews at that time they stated that they had problems with the switch but I thought I would give it a try. Have they corrected the problem with the switch?

Can this be used on composite decking and not scratch it?

Hello there. This unit is designed to work on many surfaces. There is a hard plastic scraper bar on the bottom of the unit to ensure clean result, so just be mindful of that on your composite. Hi there, Thanks for reaching out to us regarding the 40V Cordless 12-inch Wheeled Snow Shovel (Tool-Only). Although 6" is the ideal height for this machine, it is possible to use in deeper snow. If the snow is very deep, you may have to plow it in layers, or in a shovel like fashion as it throws the snow for you. If consistently have 16" of snow to clear, it may be worth checking out our RYOBI snow blower lineup as those are more suited for deeper snow. I hope this helps! Can you easily remove the handle / vertical shaft for storing in a SUV?
