Rated 1 out of 5 by from String Trimmer issues make for unusable product. Not a bad string trimmer when you first use it. I have a lawn mower and blower that I am more than happy with. BUT go and try to reload the string when the line breaks off inside the head. Good luck. The “unlock” dial is a piece of junk. Used wrenches,pliers, clamps, and a vise, only for it not to “unlock”. So all I have now is a damaged hunk of plastic all chewed up from trying to unlock the head. Honestly, wouldn’t waste the money on this. Spend the extra to get a better made product.

Could not / would not exchange @home depot; They sent me to repair shop ( start the red tape.)been there for over a month now no word on when could be fixed. my grass is still growing . should have been exchanged for a new 1 .Didn't pay for an item at the beginning of summer to have it in the shop for half of it. not impressed on service. Worked well when it did work. I have spent thousands over the past year on Ryobi getting the gas out of my garage; including a 54 in zero turn you would think / we could get some decent service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from decent power feels solid. i bought plug in and got a great deal from amazon on them, but i returned them and went for this set. it cost more, but glad i did it. with lithium batteries its the best move for me. i do find it interesting i bought it at full price $268. and now its on sale for $268 showing $30 off. 3 wks after paying full price $268 ? anyways glad i did it. good set, lots of power.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mixed review for a combo kit. Bought this combo as an upgrade to a 18v ryobi combo. The blower is awesome and a huge improvement. The trimmer is a letdown compared to the 18v model. The 40 v trimmer's 4 amp battery takes 3 hours to charge on the small charger that comes with the combo kit. Fortunately i have a super fast charger that came with the lawnmower i also bought, with this charger it takes 1 hour. The trimmer is an awkward design comparwd to the 18 v model. It's head doesn't swivel, like the 18 v model, to turn into an edger. You have to but an adapter to use it properly as an edger. Unless yo need the more powerful 40 v model for a bigger lawm i would purchase the 18 v model as it is powerful enough fo an average size yard in my nieghbourhood and more versatile at a farmor reasonable price. The blower is a big improvement over the 18v model.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Lawn Kit! I never had a blower and wanted one, and my electric trimmer was on it's last legs, so I needed to find a replacement for that. I don't like the idea of gas, as there is some maintenance involved, but I was getting tired of the long extension chords and wrapping them around sections as I trimmed. I look around for a while until someone tole me about this kit. Turns out, there are many good reviews, and deservedly so. I can't speak to the marketing statement that it's as powerful as gas but in electric format (as I never owned gas lawn products), but after my first use, I can say the trimmer and blower has what it takes to do a job easily. The one funny thing I'll say about the blower is, there is a "Turbo" button to increase the horsepower....Turbo should just be the default speed LOL. A couple reasons I didn't give this 5/5: 1. The trimmer arm length is not adjustable. Although the weight with the battery is fine, I think I could have been more efficient if the arm was 6 inches shorter...but that should be an adjustment feature. 2. Although the battery was enough to trim and blow, the battery was on the last dot when I was done. This kit only comes with one battery, so I can see someone running out of juice - lasted about one hour and took a couple hours to charge from unboxing to full.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ryobi edge trimmer and blower I bought these online but should have checked them out in the store. The edge trimmer is way too heavy for me to use. Also did use it a couple of times then the line jammed. I had to get a male neighbour to help me get the bottom off so I could unjam it. It took him all his strength to undo it. I'm now too scared to use it again. Love the blower but have to hold it with two hands as it's also very heavy!

I bought my trimmer last year. As of now the trimmer coil has detached and I cannot reattach because it has broke. What if anything can I do?

My Ryobi 40V Lithium wipper snipper today started smoking at the bottom - there were some weeds caught between the string trimmer cage and the shaft near the base - i removed the weeds - then it would only run for a minute then stop ? Is there a problem ?
