Le garde ne protège à peu près pas des projections car je termine toujours avec autant de gazon sur moi que sur mon terrain, c’est très salissant.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I HATE this trimmer This trimmer has made me hate Ryobi. Within 5 minutes of starting to use this, the grass got jammed around it and I had to spend ages clearing it out before it would run again. Another 5 minutes of use, then the line snapped right at the hole to the machine so I tried to remove the head to extend the line. There was absolutely no way I could do it on my own. I'm 5'1" and I have small hands - there is no way for me to grip it enough to rotate the top and bottom housing. I had to wait until my husband got home. He has much bigger hands and is strong, but it took him a long time to manage it. When I tried to re-install the housing, even my husband couldn't turn it to get the arrows to line up again. I ended up taking it to a Ryobi service shop because I figured it must be broken. It took them 10 minutes in the workshop to do it - It took two of them, and I think they put it in a vice. They said it was 'just stiff to turn'. No kidding. They put some oil on it and it got a bit better, but it's still almost impossible for me to do it and I'll probably have to wait for my husband every time, which makes it kind of useless if it's going to need the line fixing every 10 minutes (like my previous Ryobi did - I'd hoped the newer one would be better!) This tool is basically unusable for anyone with small hands. I think most women would have problems installing the housing, which is simply a matter of bad design. I need some other outdoor tools, but I won't be buying Ryobi.

Can this be used as an edger? If so, how? Seems very awkward.
