    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worth the money Works pretty well and is easy to assemble. The wire on the trimmer breaks pretty easily so you have to keep pulling the spool out and resetting. Lawnmower works well though and I was happy with it. Overall, a worthwhile purchase.

I don't miss the self-propelled gas mower. The trimmer is lightweight, but so far the string tangles up on itself causing it to feed more, and get more tangled. It too is surprising light and as powerful as my gas trimmer. I may have to change the string head though as it is a nuisance.

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ryobi battery operated 40v mower and trimmer Product is great so far. The battery doesn’t last as long as I’d like. Our lot is 50x100 with a 2200 sq ft house on it. The battery lasts for the cutting but there is little left for the weed wacker so we went out and bought the blower which comes with another battery and that gives us enough for the weed wacker and blowing some of the grass out of the gravel pathway and gardens. The mower and trimmer are powerful and do a great job. We have several gardens and winding path so the narrow cutting field is perfect for the harder to reach areas that a larger mower could never get into with ease. All in all I’d buy this again. Here’s to hoping the batteries have a long life as they are expensive to buy on their own

    Is the cutting deck plastic or metal?

    It's mostly very heavy gauge plastic, as is the blade housing. Very easy to clean and of course no corrosion.

    Question. Is the deck adjustable for cutting height? I like my grass cut as short as possible.

    What is the main difference between this 40V lawn mower (Model # RY401424) and other 40V ones: RY40180 and RY40190, other than the cutting width (16" vs 20")?

    Hi Al922, Thank you for the question. Model RY401424 kit is a 16in mower and the kit comes with our 4Ah 40V battery. The RY40180 is our 20in 40V mower which comes with a 5AH battery. The RY40190 is our 20in self propelled 40V mower which comes with a 5Ah battery. The biggest differences are battery AH, cutting deck and push vs self propelled. Thank you, Ryobi Canada Team.
