Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Saw, Here is how you can make it better Bought this saw for some home tiling project. Bought this one based on previous reviews. What is great about it is that is has a bottom drain and an overflow drain. I bought a small pond pump and some tubing. I drilled a hole at the top of the water reservoir in the back of the saw and ran the tubing through, which I connected the other end to the pond pump in a 5 gallon pail filled with water, conveniently placed below the overflow drain. I have a constant supply of fresh cold water cooling the blade. For $20 pump and $5 of tubing I have a high end wet tile saw.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked for me...once I got the hang of it Used this for my first tile job (using ceramic 12" tile - daltile brand) - I have to say after my first 2 cuts I thought that I made a horrible, horrible mistake purchasing this saw. The edges were a jagged, the tile was blowing out the back leaving chipped corners - not a huge deal for the tiles close to the wall as they will be covered with moulding. I knew I needed a cleaner cut since the 3 tiles sitting across my doorway would be cut - so I tried flipping the tile over for my next cut (good side facing down) - bingo! Instant gratification. You have to really take your time for the cuts that matter, and it's a good idea to grab a rubbing stone and give your cut edge a little luvin as well...all N all, worth the cash. Also, to avoid blowout, take a scrap piece of tile and place it across the back of the tile you are cutting (as your cut reaches to the sawblade). place your thumbs on and apply pressure to this back tile and push thru the saw (making sure your thumbs will not hit the saw blade obviously!)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Saw does not work We were interested in this saw based on the reviews. The price was right and for our small tile job it seemed this would be perfect. Bought saw number 1, assembled everything and discovered that when the blade was tightened down there wasn't enough clearance for the blade to spin. Returned it, and bought saw number 2...similar problem, now it's the motor that doesn't work. The saw will be returned today and we won't be buying another one. It would seem that the saw gets good reviews if it works properly but I'm not willing to take another chance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressed with ability to cut irregular shapes I bought this for my first floor tiling job. It was a small two piece bathroom, about 25 square feet. I also have one of the manual score and snap tool for straight edges. I only used this for cuts that were not a full tile straight cut. The blade was fine for my ceramic tile. Easy to set up with good pictures. I was going around a toilet, so had to cut a somewhat circular cut in 4 tiles. Once I got the hang of it, it was quite easy. It will actually grind through the edges of the tiles so you can "smooth" out the original cuts (which were a series of angles that approximated the circle I needed). I read other reviews on the blade wearing out, so I continued to use the manual tool (which is also very simple) for anything straight. I am quite satisfied as renting would have cost $55-60.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for the house jobs Nice saw for the price, not for a professional but it gets the job done. Easy to use, not much to assemble, light and portable. Tiling my bathroom, so there were plenty of cuts to be made and this saw made it easy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ryobi Tile Saw Excellent product for the price. No saw runout. Good water system. Cutting with the guard up for shaped cuts needs waterproof clothing! Bevel cutting is a little difficult. Manual could do with clear explanation of how to fit the saw washers, but it is reasonably intuitive. Rip fence needs to be sat accurately with a measuring tape to avoid binding. Managed a project with 12 x 12 Porcelain tiles, including semi-circular cutouts, wihtout problems

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good value for home use Just spent two days with this saw cutting 6x6 porcelain tiles for a bathtub surround, and 12x12 ceramic tiles for an irregularly shaped bathroom floor. I have to say I was pretty impressed with the performance of this saw with the stock blade. The arbor appears to have very little runout, and the fence was easily aligned with scales on the front and back of the table. Pay attention to getting the blade to seat properly on the unkeyed washer that goes on first during assembly. It has a small collar that HAS to fit precisely into the center hole of the blade or it will wobble. I'll bet others that post here complaining of wobble missed getting this right. It cut porcelain like a laser beam, and by the end of day 2 was only just slightly chipping the glaze on the 12 x 12's. A better blade would be a good choice if you have a bigger job planned. Freehand cuts are a bit messy as the blade casts a spray with the safety/spray guard lifted high enough to see whare the blade is making contact with the tile. Keep the guard as close to the table as possible to keep the mess down. Grit and chips do accumulate on the table surface, and have to be swept to the drain rim with a shop rag. Although there is a provision on the bottom for a tube style stand, it isn't included in this model and wasn't on the store shelves as an add on. There isn't an easy way that I can see of keeping this clamped onto a work table. I found it fit almost perfectly on a cheapo workstand just by fluke, maybe a non skid rubber mat like you might use for router work would work on a flat surface?? I might have had a different opinion if it kept sliding around on me! Anyways I found this more than adequate for a weekend warrior job. I picked this one since I'm somewhat familiar with the Ryobi brand name, and haven't ever heard of some of the other manufacturers around this price point. I wasn't disappointed. It did what it says in the ad, and it got the job done. Nice.

Is there a table available for the WS721 saw?

Purchased this saw and it works great but would like to get the matching table for it as mentioned on the box.
Asked by: Anonymous
I would suggest purchasing the VIKA work station. They are great it has plugs on it as well. very sturdy. The actual stand for the Ryobi is available in the US.

What is the part number for the table available from the U.S.? I investigated the VIKA stand but I'd like the Rigid stand made for the WS721 saw.

Asked by: Anonymous
The stand will be available on line in about a month or so.
