I liked it so well I bought it this year. It’s lighter than has powered engines but just as powerful. It cut through my overgrown lawn edge like butter! Love it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don’t waste your money! I use this trimmer for the first time and within in 10 minutes the trimmer started to smoke. I normally buy Gas trimmer but wanted to try electric for the first time and it’s not worth wasting your money on this brand. Trash!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick and painless [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as a Christmas gift as I had it on my wish list. I already knew to expect convenience as I have several other ryobi tools/blowers. What I didn’t know was how well the unit might power older attachments that may have been designed to be turned by gas engine power. I have always been a gas engine for all tools as I grew up working on engines large and small and have experience cleaning/rebuilding carburetors from all makes so I never had a reason to try an electric weed eater or edger..... I could always get my gas equipment up and running rather easily. My first test was an edger attachment. Quick easy instant power with no warm up period needed like gas. I edged my driveway and had the unit hanging back in my garage in less time that it would take to fuel up and warm up my commercial gas engine equipment....... previously eased with a weed eater. The edger gave a crisp flat edge with ease. Second test was the blower. After cutting the grass, I used the blower attachment to clean up the driveway. It did take the 40v power head an extra second to get the turbine up to full speed compared to the gas power head, but I’ll gladly accept that in exchange for the convenience. I have a driveway that is approximately two car links long antique car with wide I have a driveway that is approximately two car links long antique car widths wide ( so not very big). After edging and blowing it with one battery that was fully charged prior to years, the battery had been completely discharged. So my recommendation is that this is an extremely convenient tool to be used for small application…… Especially if you are someone that is not mechanically inclined to tackle most maintenance jobs for a gas powerhead. Larger driveways or long yards with a lot of road frontage Would require an extra battery or two. Still might be worth the investment for extra batteries based on the convenience of the product

Do the attachments for the Gas version work with this unit?

Just took delivery of this power head along with the trimmer attachment RYHDG88VNM WHICH US SUPPOSED TO FIT ? DO I FORCE IT IN...?

I usually rotate the trimmer or the power head slightly back and forth, the small silver push bearing on the trimmer will go in and lock to the head. Then tighten the knob on the head to secure.
