Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works great, but limited placement Given the restrictions of the port placement on the opener, Ryobi should have made this module MUCH more flexible in terms of your ability to aim the lasers. All it would need is an extended arm on each laser that is multi-jointed. As it is, it will probably work for one car and need your own tweaking (mirrors) for anything more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great idea but needs a minor fix I had a feeling this wouldn't work for me when i got it since my windshield is right under the gdo and the adjustability of this is somewhat limited. But then a light bulb appeared over my head... so i added tiny mirrors angled at 45 degrees in front of the lasers, now the beam takes a 90 degree turn when it hits the mirrors, allowing me to point the lasers basically anywhere i want in my garage. Ryobi should make something similar and include it with this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yes, two lasers are better than one! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered two one for each door in order to park perfectly in our garage so we can easily get around while both vehicles are parked. Yes, two lasers are better than one!

I have two garage doors next to one another. Would I need two separate systems , one on each garage door opener? Or will the laser park assist turn on when the door opener that is not connected to the laser assist is activated?
Asked by: Tony
I plan on getting this and installing it on one door. my wife will use that one and I will use the other. When I get home I will activate both doors then close her door and hopefully that will allow me to use it.

Garage Parking Assist Module looks to have limited adjustment and the pin point range hitting the surface of a vehicles dash or hood isn't published, trial & error is the only method. Would a 1-2 ft flexible plug in range extender solve the problem?

After opening garage door to work inside, i'll turn laser off from wall panel, after a couple minutes it turns on again, over & over. Any suggestions, or is unit defective?
Asked by: Dezlpro
There is an auto shutoff feature on the app that ranges from one to ten minutes. I think if you keep pushing the button it resets the timing to turn on again. Just one possibility.

Is this Riobi Lazer Parking Assist product compatable with any garage door opener?

Asked by: birthdaydad
Sorry it is not... It is purpose built for the Ryobi garage door opener as one of it's add-on modules.

Too easy to self install. Just snap in place, adjust the lasers, and you are done.

How does it work?

How does this laser assist in Parking your car? Does it sound an audible alarm when you get where you're supposed to be? I'm just interested in learning what it actually does...especially since it's cheaper to buy this than it is to buy the fan.

Will this work to,set a point as you are pulling INTO the garage? I have 1" on each side to get my truck in the door opening with the mirrors out.

I am currently using 2 paint spots on the garage entry to line up with to get in correctly. I am hoping the laser would reach the dash of my truck prior to entry of the side view mirrors. Any help is appreciated.
Asked by: lcarothers
These are on a ball swivel and you can mount them in 1 of 7 different spots on the opener. I would venture to say yes you could aim it on a wall or spot on the garage floor etc. I actually had to buy two units because no matter where I mounted 1 unit I could not effectively place a spot on the second vehicle. So instead of mounting it on the end I now have one on each "side" of the opener and 2 lasers pointed at each car.
