Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy product pick-up Since Covid 19 it was impossible to access some products and the line spools I needed would take way too long to wait in line for someone to go pick them up in the store so I ordered them which is so much easier and was told when I could pick them up and when the date came, I took all my paperwork with me and went to the place I was told to pick up my product and parked the car and someone came out and got my paperwork and brought my product to me. So much easier than trying to go into a store and pick up that same product.

However, it would be great if HomeDepot also collected the empty spools and either reloaded them or recycled them rather than have them go into Landfill sites.

On the down side, the twist line content is too short and wears out rapidly even when I am careful not to hit dirt or any other rock solid material. I am aware the string pulls out every time stop and go.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from NONE THE WIRE IN THE SPOOL IS STUCK TOGETHER AND BREAK WHEN INSTALLED. NOT A VERY GOOD PRODUCT. I ENDED UP RE WINDING ALL THE SPOOL TO MAKE THEM WORK AND CONSEQUENTLY RUINED A LOT OF THE WIRE.

Are these spools refillable or one and done?

Will this work with older models? I have a Ryobi 740r 2 cycle gas trimmer.

Hi Gavin, Yes this replacement line will work with many older models and other gas models. If you are noticing your line is not lasting than you can upgrade to 0.095 line which is the maximum diameter. Thanks for reaching out, RYOBI Canada.
