Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for the price Needed something large for living room over hardwood, in red. This fit the bill in heavy traffic areas, and I have long haired cats also. The rug is thin, certainly not an expensive oriental rug by any means, but it is attractive and provides some color. It vacuums well. Because it is anchored by a sofa and heavy coffee table, I do not have issue with sliding. Therefore I do not have a pad underneath it. I would say the color of red is true to the photo. Happy with the purchase, and also there are smaller shapes and sizes of same design, which I intend to purchase for my dining area. That was another selection factor, to keep some coordination.

It has very subtle colors that brought my living room decor together and has a very soft feel to it. I've had the rug for about one month and so far I am very happy with the quality. I think it will hold up well to 2 teenagers and a dog :)
