What's old is new again in Safavieh's Vintage Collection of rugs inspired by the trend to recycling old carpets and over-dyeing them in brilliant colors to camouflage stains and flaws. Each rug is power loomed in Turkey of 100 percent organic viscose yarn in a low cut pile to recreate the threadbare appearance of worn vintage carpets. Yarns are deliberately dyed unevenly to add old-world character to the collection's classic Persian and Turkish designs.

Purchased it to place underneath the dining set so chairs does not scratch floors. Unfortunately the carpet is really low and the feet of the chairs makes very noticeable marks on the rug. A few chair feet marks could not be smoothed down so it is a bit frustrating to look at considering the $200 price tag. The colors are really deep and pretty. I will be moving this rug to the barely used foyer before the chairs rubs all the fibers off this rug. Overall a beautiful rug and I would purchase again, just not for daily use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very pretty rug It's a pretty thing rug, but surprisingly soft underfoot. Holding up well so far to babies and spot cleaning. It's in our kitchen and I absolutely love the texture and color it adds to an otherwise empty floor space. Only thing that drives me a little crazy is that when you vacuum it changes color depending on which way you push the fibers (looks almost silvery one way, and dark tealish the other). Even knowing this, I still probably would have purchased it.

Do you sell a grey rug like the picture of the product shows or is this supposed to be blue??

The rug appears to be light grey, dark grey and purple, but the choice states that it is blue. Could you please explain this to me? I want to purchase this if it is in fact grey.
