The carpet is soft and high quality for use within any space in a home. The four foot by 5 foot 7 inch size is perfect for a small room or entry way. We haven't had any issues with the carpet sliding on wood floors. But it can easily be moved or slid along the wood floors. The carpet is light and easy to clean, haven't had any issues with stains or trouble with cleaning or vacuuming.

We bought it initially to use in the living room, and bought a fairly big size. However, once we received it, we noticed that the rug is not a plush rug, enough to be able to sit on it comfortably with the kids to play a game or watch a movie. So, we decided to use it for our breakfast area instead. It's been fantastic for use there. Here's why: 1. It is thin. The chairs can slide on it with ease. 2. It hides everything. My kiddos create crumbs and stains. Even though we vacuum a lot in this house, sometimes we can't get to it fast enough. It even hides spaghetti sauce very well....unfortunately. We have received many compliments on it and we get to tell people where we found it, Home Depot/ Home Decorators Collection. There isn't anything we dislike about it. It definitely suits its purpose. In the photos provided, you will also see two other pieces of furniture offered by Home Depot/ Home Decorators Collection. The Lyons Dining Table and the Easton Breakfast Nook in Linen. I got a puppy 2 weeks ago that peed on it twice and it bleached out the color of the rug. it is useless now. I am 64 and have moved and decorated many houses. also always had dogs, also always buy oriental area rugs. never seen one with this bad of quality.very unhappy

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too short!! :-( Rug is soft, beautiful, and lays well. But the 8x11.2 is actually 8x10 exactly - I’m so disappointed!!! I have to adjust my furniture accordingly and that changes the entire look and feel of my living room different from what I’m going for. The colors are good but the misleading measurements are a huge disappointment- I rolled it out and my kids thought I was crazy as I lay facedown on the rug crying “noooooo!!” because it’s too short!! :-( It even says on the package it came in “8x11.2”

I tried two different rugs from HD and returned them because quite frankly they looked and were cheap. I do wish HD and Home Decorators would separate again. I felt like I was getting such a bargain and the quality was a definitely cut above the stuff in HD. They really are two different types of products and I think people think alot like me.

The pattern is faded in spots which gives it an antique look (without the antique smell or dirt of actual antique rugs!). It's extremely soft, feels great underfoot. It's a very low pile, you might want to put a rug pad under it if you want a little cushion under your feet. The colors are nice--all neutrals so it can work in a lot of spaces
