Rated 5 out of 5 by from Making a tedious job a bit easier easier to use than paper tape as it's less rigid but it doesn't crease as easy for inside corners but you get used to it. Time will tell as to whether its stronger than paper but I've had paper fail which is why I decided to give it a try.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FbaFuse Drywall Tape Absolutely magic tape... I did the entire unfinished basement, using this tape ( with all inside corners ). The tape was so easy to apply and looks great after was done. I did not have even a single bubble issues and was easy to sand. I hardly recommend this FbaFuse Drywall Tape. Just remember to use a gloves when applying this tape.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality tape, very easy to work with Homeowner doing DIY repairs here. Some of the complaints in other reviews are valid, the mini shards of glass etc, but they can be mitigated by using dedicated work clothes, and not doing silly things like putting this in your pocket. I use a joint knife to cut precisely and hold it steady between my pant legs, and cut at the same spot always. That way the cloud of fiberglass is always in the same spot. It's very forgiving to use, if there wasn't enough mud underneath, just slap on more mud over top and it'll fill, no more worrying about bubbles. I did sand after first coat, second and final, and have found to go easy on the sanding, you could actually sand the fiberglass tape layer away. On another occasion, I had a wall that's too thin for the default width, trimmed it a bit, and it worked like nobody's business.

It doesn't bubble like paper tape nor is it fragile like mesh tape. I dislike the mesh tape stringy pieces that peal off. This is what I'll be using especially in places with the potential for humidity or mold. The only downside is that it doesn't crease as easy as paper tape (which is pre-creased of course). I still use paper tape in the corners as long as it isn't a bathroom.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not Impressed I thought I'd try this. I will stick to the paper tape. Frustrating to get an even fold for corner joints. Once embedded into the joint compound it cuts and tears very easy. When you tear a length off the roll a cloud of airborne fibers are released. If you are experienced with paper tape stay with it

It is great for repairing cracks in sheetrock, spider cracks in ceilings, walls, and doing repairs. It is ultra thin and allows us to do a beautiful job. It is strong and can stop cracks from returning. The biggest issue is you have to order it on line, as it is not in stock at stores. So, order a roll and keep it on hand.

I’ve remodeled for over 40 years and used paper tape the whole time.FibaFuse tape is amazing, it becomes one with your mud and never bubbles. cuts easy, lays in perfect and covers invisible. It’s getting harder to find so I stocked up, just in case...

How do you use this for inside corners? It doesn't seem to have a crease, is there a secret to folding it neatly?

Asked by: Diy Guy
Hi, Thank you for this question. The Vendor recommends pinching the two sides together with your fingers to get it into the corner and then embedding it with a corner trowel for a sharp edge.

Can FibaFuse be used with Sheetrock Dust Control lightweight joint compound? It actually recommended paper tape.
Asked by: Xiaotian
We don't recommend light-weight compound for any application. Instead, we recommend an all-purpose ready mix.

Can you use hot mud

Asked by: Lott
Definitely. I use setting-type joint compound with this all the time. Dries strong. It's an excellent tape. I prefer it for patches over fiberglass mesh.
