We've been using sakrete products in a number of repair and building projects around the house and yard... they are great, but why are all gravel, sand, and cement products packaged in such heavy sizes? 30kg bags! Its the limit of human lifting capacity! I've actually chosen to pay a lot more for multiple small 25lb boxes of different mixes repeatedly just so we don't all injure our backs! Is this some macho nonsense... give us smaller bags, please!! We don't need another generation of masons, construction workers, and home handymen with injured backs. Please make smaller packages!

Why is this designed for applications with a thickness of 2 inches (5 cm) or more? I purchased the product to fill in a gap between my stamped concrete patio and stamped concrete steps out my back door. I have about a gap of 1" wide to fill

This product and most "concrete" has aggregate (filler/strengthener) which is 1/2in in size or larger mostly stone. That is whey the recommendation is to only use it if it will be 2in thick (min). You should be using a product with a sand based aggregate. Either "Sand-mix", mortar, parging or non-shrink grout.

CAN THIS PRODUCT BE USED FOR A CONCRETE COUNTER TOP

No it cannot be used for a concrete counter top. Air –entrained concretes are not recommended for counter tops. You should use SAKRETE Fast Set. It is High strength, fast setting which will set in 20 min. Hope this helps.

Mix and substrate temperatures should be maintained between 5 and 30ºC (40 and 86ºF) for at least 24 hours prior to and 48 hours after. For temperatures below 5°C (40°F) refer to SAKRETE® Fast-Set Concrete. Hope this helps.
