Bought this microwave (model# MS19M8000AS, serial# 0B3V7WRJ500823L) on Jun 23rd and on Jun 28th the microwave turn itself on when the door is closed. Can't turn it off unless you leave the door open or unplug the power. This is a safety issue. The microwave failed in less than a week of normal use. Although the design is nice but the quality is very poor. I've tried two times to leave a review on Samsung's website but they won't publish the review my guess is since it the 1st review and poor rating so they choose not to published it. Not recommend this model to anyone!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible/Loud Noise During First 2-Seconds got this microwave 2 days ago to replace the exact same samsung model microwave (my previous samsung microwave lasted less than 3 years by the way, and i am not happy about that to begin with). brand new, straight out of the box, this new microwave on its first use started up with a terribly loud humming noise that lasts approximately 2 seconds, then dissipates out to a dull humming noise like most microwaves make. i am used to a small humming noise, but the very loud humming noise for the first 2 seconds at each startup is terrible. that loud 2 second humming noise happens every time on startup. i am not happy w/ this purchase at all!!! i do not recommend.

They do not make good on what is a known deficiency. Warranty is only a year despite knowing this defect is a very common issue. Now i have go worry when my TV's will start breaking down. Quality is not what it was i guess. I bought due to Brand loyalty...a mistake that will never happen again. Zero stars are not an option...STAY AWAY....

Of course I always wrote this off to them just not being that with it anymore. Then, I get a frantic call last night saying that the unit came on by itself and somehow smashed the platter. My 89 year old father thought a bomb went off as they sat just a few feet away at the kitchen table. This is totally unbelievable and I really didn't know what to think...until I see all the other similar complaints. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE AND DANGEROUS! I have Samsung TVs and appliances in my own home, but am now questioning anything from this company.

This is plenty wide for all dishes and platters we have, and very deep. It's easy to use, even if you just start by using numbers for seconds and press start. Heating complete beep is plenty loud enough without being intrusive to your hearing. It beeps to remind you that you have something still in the microwave in case you forget to remove what you've heated.
