Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money. Do not buy. Absolutely the worst toilet I've ever had - and I've had 2 of these (I have no choice but to use this as I'm limited in space). Both times the toilets have failed on me after a few months. It always requires multiple flushes to get even liquid waste down. After a while it begins to constantly flush on its own even when not in use. Turned out if the water pressure is even a little high it causes it to leak water into the bowl which triggers the flush. When you turn the water down below the threshold it doesn't supply enough water to flush properly. Also absolutely everything sticks to the ceramic. Do not buy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Choice as a third bathroom. Compact unit-works perfectly in our basement with a below-grade septic system. Unit is exactly as described with no issues. Definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Install notes Works well. Not having a tank on the back provides extra space in the room. Drain pipe required is 1 inch schedule 40 - I used white PVC. Pipe installation is quite precise, location wise. Pumps up to 9 feet but any horizontal sections should be sloped 5 degrees towards sewer. Less 90s the better (2 45s at each 90 is recommended). Do not recommend doing final drain placement until actual unit can be placed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent back up Purchased a few weeks ago and very happy with the toilet. Small compact and comfortable. Easy install and not needing to break floor. Was missing seat upon delivery. Saniflo shipped out ASAP. Good choice for a back up toilet Would recommend as long as the unit stands up well.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not worth the money Installed this toilet in 2019 in basement. Toilet gets very little use and the toilet seat is broke within a year and can not be replaced with a standard toilet seat and now the toilet is leaking. Wouldn't recommend for the price and only last a few years.

Do you have to use RV toilet paper and how does it handle sani-wipes?

Asked by: Timsgottgo
I use any normal toilet paper in mine. But I’m always conscious about how much I use. I try to just use it to go #1 and go upstairs for other things haha. And no, never ever put wipes in there! Nothing but human waste and toilet paper. The motor would catch on those and you’d break it. Expensive replacement.

Being an all-in-one unit...how difficult would it be to repair or service this unit compared to a regular Saniflo pump and tank/seat combo?

Asked by: Chantal
This unit is easy to service as it is an all in one system but will require a bit of work to disconnect it so you can gain access to the inner components. You would need to unscrew it from the floor and disconnect your power supply, water supply lines and discharge line. The toilet would then become movable to allow access to the rear side of the toilet/system. The Sanicompact is designed very well and the rate of defect is very little.

If it is installed with exposed piping behind (since I don't want to break open the wall behind) then how much minimum space I need to allow between the wall and the back of this unit?

Asked by: WDIY
The discharge line required is 1" in diameter so you would need to leave at least 2" behind the toilet if you are planning to plumb the discharge line vertically behind the toilet and not have it behind the wall. If you are planning to plumb your sink into this unit you would be using a 1-1/2 pipe which would also fit easily if you move the toilet out from the wall approx 2" as mentioned above. If you require additional assistance please feel free to call the Saniflo tech support line at 1-800-363-5874.

The description says this can connect a sink as well.  Is that true? Are extra pieces needed?

Asked by: ajnyx
Yes it can deal with a sink. There is a flexible rubber hose included. It needs to be connected to the toilet. The rubber hose is connected to the sink drain with PVC pipe (I think). Instructions are included and quite clear.
