Overview

Model # SB-75 Store SKU # 1000657831

The ScaleBlaster Electronic Water Conditioner is an innovative, computerized water conditioning system that solves hard water problems without the need for chemicals, maintenance or salt. This water conditioner (ScaleBlaster) removes and prevents lime scale deposits in household pipes while protecting and prolonging the life of water heaters, dishwashers and washing machines. ScaleBlaster produces a scientifically developed electronic signal that hits the resonant frequency of the calcium molecules causing them to lose their adhesive properties. It protects water-based appliances, while making them more efficient. Lime scale deposits are the cause of poor water pressure, formation of soap scum, increased water heating expenses and a lack of hot water. Lime scale deposits on showerheads, sinks and faucets will easily wipe off or disappear. Soap will lather up more leaving your skin feeling smoother and your hair more manageable. ScaleBlaster is preventive maintenance in a box. This water conditioner requires no maintenance and is simple to install with no plumbing required.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Scale Blaster outside the warranty and dies It seems they have about a 40 month life. I have had my Scale Blaster repaired once and it died again and the parts are not available.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worthless No feature stands out because the product does nothing. I've had it installed for a couple of years now and it hasn't made one difference in our hard water. I'm disappointed that Home Depot actually sells a product that appears to be nothing more than modern-day snake oil. There are systems built on principles like this; but, they are expensive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works There is tons of research on this tech. Large companies use magnets to do this all the time. I’m an electronics teacher and understand how this works. To the guy who opened the thing, that’s all you need to build a pulsing electromagnet. However, there are other variables that can cause it to not work correctly. So this may not work for everyone. Here is our experience with it; We had tons of scale at my house and it was destroying everything. After cleaning, a week later it would return. We put one of these in following the instructions exactly and after 6 months we have had no scale buildup whatsoever. My wife loves it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The scaleblaster was a good purchase. We already have... The scaleblaster was a good purchase. We already have salt water softener system, but our water is extremely hard and produces a lot of scale deposits at pipe joints, knobs, and spigots. It seems that water is softer, and after 1 month the deposits have stopped growing/appearing. Only complaint is that it took so long to install. It wasn’t complicated, just time consuming. Would recommend.

Asked by: Scottish78
