Rated 5 out of 5 by from buying more As an economical alternative to the more expensive units, I have installed several of these locks, both inside and out in commercial applications. Two deadbolts are on outside gates. One latch style is on another outside gate Two latch style are used for washroom access Five latch style are used for private offices, conference room etc. Batteries last a very long time, but make sure you keep the key someplace else in the event the battery does die. However, the lock will give you an indication that the battery needs changing. I am very happy with these locks and are now going to purchase more of them.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not for Cold weather Have been using this lock on my garage for about 6 months now and it has been working great, I love the convenience. Unfortunately this morning the temperature dropped to about -26. I went out to the garage in the morning and found that that keypad was operational, but the lock did not engage. No matter how many times I tried it, the deadbolt would not retract. I even tried the key, but it just spun as well. I've felt it slip a bit on colder days before, but it always engaged in the end. Not this time... I'll be pulling this off the garage and installing it on the house. The warmth of the house should keep it operational. I don't anticipate any issues in this application, but I would not recommend it for an unheated environment.

I would not have bought them if I wouldn’t have had to change all the exterior handles on our house to match, due to the fact the finish doesn’t last. It fades and looks old in just over a year. If you have a protected door way where the elements can’t get to touch this handle you will be fine. As far as the keypad lock it is a great feature. Especially if you don’t want to have to carry keys. I wish there was a way to indicate that the battery was low though. Overall works well but doesn’t stay looking nice very long if exposed to elements.

Easy to program (well as long as you thourghly read instructions) Looks great and has a good strong feel Very secure with extra door frame plate for deadbolt BUT, before installing check the location of deadbolt cover. It is quite large and slightly overlaps one of my door panels (door is older wood style though)

Would be great for families with children,as you wouldn't have to worry about lost or misplaced keys. Great for anyone who is constantly losing their keys.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Manual turn feature is a BIG plus This is not my first numbered keypad and it is great because it does not use the battery to turn the deadbolt. It is manually turned!! This is a plus to me because when the weather gets really cold and the battery loses power because of the cold it still works fine. Have had two others without this feature and will always get manual turn going forward.

Why does the key not work when the battery has run out? I cannot get in the building.

The key should work at all times, regardless of the electronic status of the lock. The key is used differently than a traditional deadbolt. Once the key is inserted, rotate the key 90 degrees. This will allow the key to depress another 1/4" into the lock. Once the key and cylinder are depressed, the lock should engage to extend or retract. Hi, I recently bought one of combo pack for an exterior side door entrance. My contractor has lost the manual after installation and couldn't help me undestand how to set up key combination! Any help to learn how to set up key combination will be great.

Thank you for contacting us. I'm sure we can help with this. The original factory programming and user codes are located on a sticker on the back of the exterior housing of the lock. This will require you to remove the 2 screws holding the battery cover on, and then the 2 screws holding the mounting plate on. Note the programming and user codes on the sticker on the exterior housing and re-assemble.
