First of all, there is a tiny pair of scissors at the end of a very long pole which cannot be activated unless you release the lock. This would not be a problem if releasing the lock allowed the scissors to remain unlocked until the job was finished. But that is not the case. Once you can get the branch inside the scissors’ blades, and that is the task by itself, and cut it, the scissors lock again. So you have to repeatedly unlock the scissors. I was already exhausted after cutting only three small branches. If you are looking for a trimmer that is easy to use, this is not it.

Ladies if you have small hands, arthritis, nerve problems in your hands or some other hand problem affecting your grip, this tool will finally let you trim your bush or clip the saplings off your trees or bushes. Using a manual pruner was so painful for me, my hands swelled from repetitive manual clipping. This electric pruner I clipped for two hours before the pruner and I quit. Very grateful for this tool, it enables me to do some of my own yard work. Keeping some $$$ in my pocket vs the gardener and now I can have the Gardner focus on stuff I really can’t do.

Also, after extended use my hand begins to cramp up and make pruning much more difficult. First time out with this telescoping cordless pruner was nothing short of amazing. I was able to reach small branches higher up and prune them effortlessly. The only issue I have so far is that the pruner is a bit top heavy when fully extended because the battery and the tool are located at the far end of the pole, something that makes sense given the tool’s design. All in all I am quite satisfied with this pruner.

Now after using it for a week, I am surprised it is not more popular. I LOVE it!! It is now the most useful tool I own for trimming tropical plants and trees. It easily deals with up to 3/4" of even hard wood let alone various types of palm plants and the angle is easily and infinitely adjustable for achieving and cutting angle needed. One charge lasted all day and I was able to charge it overnite without removing it from the pole portion of the tool. I don't think I could be any happier with it.

Having the extension pole (that is adjustable) gives it a lot of flexibility for use. I have a lot of bushes and trees. It's super easy to use and has a great reach. I've been able to get to branches that I could not reach with any of my other yard tools. It's cuts up to a 3/4 inch branch with ease.

I think this tool would benefit from from a harder alloy cutting blade but otherwise it is a great tool. The tool has much more power than I expected and the lithium ion battery life is excellent. I think some might find the safety awkward but on the other hand they get to keep their fingers. I have a bunch of 1" rose, grape and wysteria vines and this pruner made quick work of them. It would be nice if it was a little faster but I think you would be trading power for speed and the power is more important. It would be nice if replacement blades and batteries were available at reasonable price which as far as I can see they are not. Still the first time I used it this tool it more than paid for itself.

Not as quick an air pruner but quick enough on green wood, dry or thumb size may stall the cutter but for light pruning works quickly enough. Something like a ratcheting pruners speed but much easier and a little quicker, most likely a worm drive screw that hopefully will hold up over time. The safety is a bit awkward in some positions but overall works well.

Light weight without pole. I used it for abt 30min without break, and didnt feel inconvenienced at all. Reviews suggest older (arthritis) folks use with comfort too. Keep in mind, this is a pruning shear, not a heavy-duty cutter.
