Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works really well along with good maintenance I've now used this a couple of times on our lawn, the most recent as part of some spot treatment for new seed after a bit of aeration. The first application at the beginning of Summer was a night and day difference, as there had been a bit of a dry spell. The lawn greened up within a couple of days, and then stayed healthy and pretty drought resistant until going dormant for late summer. I was still able to push a screwdriver deep into the turf during dry spells, which wasn't the case last year. We'll see how well it recovers now that the intense heat for Ontario has broken, and we've finally got some rain in the forecast. Based on the initial results, I'll definitely be using this going forward unless something changes.

The issue with top dressing is its difficult to see a difference like you do with fertilizers. I have seen a difference in how my lawn responds to watering compared to last year when I did not top dress.

Soil Build'R Spreadable Top Dressing can be applied to improve the soil conditions before the growing season, apply this product in the spring. To improve the soil conditions for overseeding and aeration, apply this product in the fall.

Spring here in Ontario and finally starting to warm up without frosty nights. Can I over seed now in May along with the use of this product at the same time? Is it ok if it rains right away or does it need a dry time first?
