Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well Nice small particles makes it easy to do an even spread. Grass greened up quite fast. Did not notice any burnt areas.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 3 weeks and no grass I bought 9 bags of this stuff and spread it out in the thin portions of my lawn with the addition of Scott's grass seed. I have followed all recommendations and have kept the soil moist and the only thing growing at the moment is weeds.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Scott's Fertilizer I bought and laid down the green up fertilizer (the one that is guaranteed to green up your lawn in ~3 days) in early spring and then again last months and as of today my lawn is disaster, with brown spots all over my lawn(dead grass). How do I course correct this problem and recoup my losses...I've been a faithful user of Scott's fertilizer and never run into this problem. You folks need to caution consumer's on the nitrogen content in extreme heat conditions, for it acts as an inhibitor. My beautifully manicured lawn is now the worst lawn in my neighbourhood. I am extremely dissatisfied and looking for answers and solutions by the experts at Scott's I look forward to a prompt reply. Sincerely,

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bird food The product is corn gluten and does not break down easily. I put two bags on my lawn in early spring and it got eaten by birds before it could break down. A family of ducks moved onto our lawn and stayed until it was all eaten by them and other birds. Big waste of money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It doesnt burn your lawn I have used this product every year for the past 10 years, it has not BURNT my lawn once in all that time. I have no idea how people are applying this product, but it works - and it works well. Use with a broadcast spreader for best results. And don"t spread using your hand, by throwing it on your lawn.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Burnt I bought, for the first time, scotts turf builder. I fertilized my lawn in the areas where the grass needed some TLC. 2 days later I opened the blinds and seen that my lawn(which was previously beautiful green) was burnt exactly where i put the fertilizer. The rest of the grass was extremely green where the i did not put the builder. Im very disappointed and hoping to get my money back as well as my lawn fixed for this waste of money 'turf builder'.

I bought a turf builder, I applied the whole package (18.2kg, for 186 sq meter), I am not sure if it is too much, if over-dose the fertilizer, if it will burn or damage the soil or the lawn. I am worried about it. my package is red of 10-0-0, thank you

    Asked by: Raymond
You have applied too much Turf Builder in the area. We would recommend removing as much of the dry product as possible before watering the area with 1/2" of water. Following the watering procedure every 2- 3 days for 3 weeks will lessen the damage of an over-application. Contact us if you need further information: http://tinyurl.com/kadgt3y

Bought this product and broadcast spreader. People are telling me not to use as it will burn grass. I haven't used anything yet and want to know should I use this or not ? It is August 3rd. It says four feedings; want to help lawn with health fight weeds

    Asked by: Grayz
Scotts Turf Builder Lawn Fertilizer can be applied anytime during the growing season, until growth stops in the fall/winter. If day time temperatures are over 30 C water in immediately after application to avoid plant stress. Applications should be spaced 6 - 8 weeks apart during the growing season.

    why does it have gluten

    Asked by: onyder
Some of the amino acids in corn gluten are natural growth inhibitors which prevent root growth. In preventing root growth weed seeds that are trying to germinate and become established are unable to successfully germinate and grow.

Hello I live in London Ontario and we struggle every year with which product and at what time should we use. We just applied yesterday and now I don't know what to do as we thought it prevented weeds. What should we do did I waste $$$$$$$$$$$$

    Asked by: Ginh
It is best to apply the weed preventer first and then apply the Scotts Turf Builder Lawn Fertilizer 4-6 weeks after that application. For additional assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us directly. .http://tinyurl.com/kadgt3y

How much iron should be applied for best results

    Asked by: Anonymous
The amount of iron that you would apply would depend on the condition of your lawn. We do not recommend applying another fertilizer for 6 to 8 after the application.
