Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice inexpensive fitting for my PEX piping. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm running a compressed air system in my shop. After a lot of research I decided to go with PEX tubing. These fitting are perfect for "TEE" off drops to the service points. They fit into the PEX tubing snugly and the PEX copper crimp rings seem to fasten well. For my compressed air application I am happy to have a non-metallic fitting so I don't have to worry about any bleed-through oil affecting a metallic fitting. Time will tell for this particular application, but so far so good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from beat the high price of aquarium parts [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I find these plastic fittings are perfect for aquarium use, where you want no metal. These fit up nicely with the 12mm silicone tubing of my filters, and allow all sorts of useful configurations to be inexpensively assembled in combination with the standard filter fittings and 1/2" PEX tubing. Attached is a picture of one such invention. The inline Tee allows me to get double-duty from a single external filter - both drawing water directly through the side-mounted strainer, and through the 'under-gravel' plate. The tee in the picture is not actually a PEX part, but a hose fitting that I modified to fit. The PEX part would have fit with no modification if I had had one at the time. These fittings are solidly made and smoothly finished, and are rated for real plumbing use. It is a very hard sort of plastic that is designed for crimping, although I would still prefer brass for this sort of use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fitting requires the metal bands and band crimping tool in order to work properly and not leak. If you are using Pex A, the Pex A end expansion tool and special Pex A sealing bands will also work. I used a few of these fittings in my barndominium remodel on Pex B and although they do not leak when properly crimped , they do greatly reduce the inside pipe diameter much more than the brass fittings. I recommend only using them well downstream of your main water supply near the fixture so that your water flow rate is minimally effected. These are superior to metal fittings if corrosion is an issue with your water because these will never corrode.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product for off-label use [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these to use in an outdoor soaker-hose setup that didn't include enough non-soaker hose in the kit, or enough tee connectors. I used ½-inch vinyl hose and these tee connectors to connect the various soaking areas to the water supply, and they worked great--actually better than the originals. Although I didn't use them with the PEX tubing for which they were designed, and the soaker hoses operate at extremely low pressure, I doubt I'm the only person who will ever need tees like this for other kinds of tubing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been using Pex for pluming for years. In the past we have always used the brass Pex fitting but decided to give these a try for a change. They all arrived in great condition and the size seems true to the same as the brass ones. They operate the same way too so there is no change in procedure to use these if you are already familiar with the brass fittings. Although we have not had any issues, I would caution you to not crimp them to tightly so you don't run the risk of cracking the plastic.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just received this package in the mail. I plan to use the tee connectors in the spring for the drip system. I’m sure by then some of them in the yard will need replacing. There are 5 per package and each has threaded ends for the hose attachment. I like this type of tee because once the hose is attached, it is almost impossible to remove. This prevents the water pressure from disconnecting them. The black plastic will prevent corrosion and water damage.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the 1/2 in. Plastic Pex Barb 5 pack of Tees a couple of weeks ago. I used them on a job on installing a hot water heater for a mobile home. Because of the ease of installation, it made it safer because there was no flame from soldering. The thickness of the walls gives me the impression that these tees will hold up very well. Overall, they were a great product and they made the job easier and faster.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good multi use connector [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed some tee connectors in making some modifications to my soaker hose irrigation system. My landscaper had spaced the hose lines too far apart and I needed to run lines in between what I had. These T joints worked well with the 1/2" soaker hose along with using hose clamps to secure the connection. There are integrated ribs around each section that insure a firm grip once clamped.

Hi, The SharkBite 1/2 in. PEX Barb Plastic Tee Fitting will fit 1/2" PEX pipe. It does not require an expansion tool. You can crimp or clamp the fitting when installing it into the PEX pipe. If you have any more questions you can call 877-700-4242. (Kind regards,)
