Rated 1 out of 5 by from horrible After a couple usages the fitting failed. The fitting is metal and all plastic handle, shank and inside. After contacting sharkbite they stated it should not be used as a slop sink valve.

how to install this

I'am using this for a washing machine and don't see how to attach through sheet rock were it is secure please advise 1/2 in. Brass Barb Angle-Stop Air Admittance Valve chip
Asked by: 06812
There are special clamps and/or brackets that attach to studs to hold pex piping in place. I believe you will need a stub out bracket to turn the pex 90 degrees and exit the drywall.

How to immobilize pex angle stop through drywall

I'm finishing my laundry room and will be using pex throughout. I would like to add angle stop valves beneath the wash basin, whereas it was originally tapped directly into the main without a dedicated valve. How can I install this fitting through 1/2" drywall and keep the angle stop itself from moving when the valve is turned? The threads are only 1/2" long and I fail to see the purpose of the included plastic fitting.
Asked by: Dave
With a barbed connection there should not be an immobilization issue. Please call our customer service line at 1-877-700-4242.
