The SharkBite Slip Ball Valve is an innovative valve that allows you to make a quick repair or add in ball valve to rigid Copper or CPVC Pipe. The slip ball valve allows up to 2 in. of pipe to be removed allowing for easy installation where rigid pipes do not allow movement. Simply insert the slip coupling on to the pipe and using the SharkBite demount clip to slip the fitting back onto the other end of pipe completing the connection. The slip ball valve is a great item to have handy for emergencies or freeze repairs as well. The SharkBite connection system requires no solder, clamps, unions or glue. Rated 2 out of 5 by from Slip valve is not looking enough Had to replace and old gate valve that would not shut off. In the past I have used a shark bite ball valve and slip fitting. Saw this and was excited as it would reduce the number of connections needed. Ended up still needing another connection because every old valve was a half inch longer then this allowed. Would be a great product and get 5 starts if the slip end were longer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very handy valve for wherever you need to place one. I installed one of these on my outside hose bib line because the old multi-turn valve stopped working. It was pretty easy to install; just cut a 2" section of pipe out and clean both ends. Then slide the fitting on one end and back, insert the other end and use the release tool to slide the valve back onto the second end. Took me 20 minutes. No cutting pipe in different areas and soldering! Five years later I have no leaks. The valve also works great too. It is a quarter turn so it is easy on/off and is more reliable than the old gate valves.
