The SharkBite PEX Plastic Barb Elbow (5-Pack) is an easy to install, low cost solution to connect PEX pipe. Advanced Polymer Plastic fittings are a perfect solution for areas where corrosion may affect DZR Brass Fittings. SharkBite PEX Plastic Barb fittings are suited for potable water distribution and hydronic heating applications. These PEX fittings may be used with the stainless steel clamp system or the copper crimp ring system (both sold separately). The SharkBite PEX Barb fitting range offers a wide variety of Fittings, Manifolds, Valves, clamp rings, crimp rings and tools in various sizes to help complete your next plumbing project.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Here's a non Promo unBiased Review! We bought these awhile ago and did not use for a bit since we had purchased 1/2 fittings for 1/2 irrigation tubes. Seemed pretty shut and closed and had enough rain - it was no rush. Tried to use today and they slipped in and out of the tubing with no resistance at all and visible space around the elbow! What? Confirmed 1/2in elbow - Yep. Confirmed 1/2 tubing ID - Yep. They would normally be larger to ensure a snug fit but these measure 0.43in (callipers). Check further and find that they need a ring to be installed. Back to package to check - no rings. Now for those of you familiar with Sharkbite, you may have one of the $42 bottles of 100 clamps but we do NOT. Why a 1 rating? - have no idea if they work at all - no product info to say they NEED a ring - packaging does not state this either (except in instructions for which I would not normally look at for installing a pipe elbow!) - And especially, Sharkbite is too cheap to put 5 rings in the package to sell to consumers! Fine if you don't do so in a bulk pak (like the rings - pkg of 100!) Not much good about this unless (maybe) you are a regular user of them. 0 would be a better rating as it was a waste of money and time for a simple 90 degree 1/2 elbow.
