SharkBite PEX tubing is a cross-linked polyethylene tubing for a wide range of residential and commercial plumbing applications. Manufactured with an oxygen barrier for radiant floor and hydronic heating applications (available in orange). The oxygen diffusion barrier applied to the exterior limits oxygen permeation through the tubing wall in hydronic heating applications which prevents corrosion of ferrous metal parts in the heating system. A repeating SharkBite imprint pattern provides a visual aid to determine if the tube has been inserted all the way into the SharkBite Push-Fit Fitting. This feature only works if the tubing is cut between the SharkBite imprint pattern.

  1. Strong, flexible, corrosion-resistant pipe
  1. Flexibility reduces number of fittings needed to complete a job; reducing cost and leak points
  1. SharkBite imprint pattern provides a visual aid to ensure pipe is fully inserted when using SharkBite push-to-connect fittings
  1. SharkBite system provides a variety of connection options, SharkBite PEX can be connected with SharkBite push-to-connect fittings or barbed fittings
  1. Listed to NSF 14 and CSA B137.5 for use in potable water systems
  1. Manufactured and tested to meet or exceed the requirements of the ASTM F-876/877/2023 and CSA B137.5

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Undercut length Recieved this roll of Pex. Confirmed it's actual length to be 42ft 3in when unspooled. Roll is undercut, do not recommend purchasing this product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too much memory - unusable Way too much memory in this pipe. Can't get it anywhere near straight despite lots of remolding and couldn't use it at all. Total waste.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Too rigid Extremely stiff. Almost impossible to run other than in a straight line. PEX B is worth the few extra dollars.

Will this flex enough to install in floor joists 12" O.C. ?

Asked by: JDWhite
This product will allow for a 4” radius on a 180 degree bend. Any tighter runs the risk of linking the pipe. You can definitely make the the 6” radius for 12” centres.

What is the temperature rating on this pex pipe?

Asked by: Tracy218
Hi there, Thanks for the inquiry. Temperature Performance: • Minimum working temperature 33°F (0.5°C) at 160 psi • Maximum working temperature 200°F (93.3°C) at 80 psi • Maximum working pressure is 160 psi at 33° F (0.5°C) – 70° F (21.1°C) Freeze Resistance • PEX pipe is freeze-resistant and can expand slightly if frozen; PEX will contract back to its original form when thawed. PEX is not freeze-proof, PEX should be insulated to prevent freezing. Like all potable piping systems, water left in the pipe during freezing conditions can freeze and could cause damage. Thanks.

Is it possible to paint red/blue Sharkbite PEX?  If so, what type of paint or product works and/or adheres best?  Thanks.

Asked by: Paul
It is not recommended to paint SharkBite PEX Pipe with any type of paint. Doing so could damage the pipe and void all warranty.
