The 1/2 in. SharkBite Push-Fit x MNPT Adapter allows you to make a connection to 1/2 in. pipe using a push-fit connection and gives you a 1/2 in. Male NPT Adapter on the opposite end. SharkBite fittings are the easiest way to join copper, CPVC or PEX pipe.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Was asked to submit something Installed several of these in a new PEX setup; pipe threads need a lot more teflon tape than typical to form a seal. There is a seam between the sharkbite and the pipe thread, you can see it on the smooth brass part in the picture. This seam has leaked on 2 of the twelve I installed; not great odds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bye Bye mister plumber Fastest and easiest way to get plumbing done yourself. Works for copper and pex. Costs more than copper pipe and fittings but less likely to leak. No propane or lead solder required. Cut and join. Buy the sharkbite 3 tools. Cutter, depth gage, and quick remove disc.
