SharkBite Max push-to-connect fittings are the fastest way to connect PEX, copper, CPVC, or PE-RT pipe. A newly designed stainless steel collet retainer delivers additional strength and durability and provides a 250 psi pressure rating. SharkBite Max fittings don't require a PEX tube liner, and a re-engineered body allows you to insert the pipe using less force and greater ease. No soldering, clamps, unions, glue, or special tools required. After inserting the pipe, stainless steel teeth bite down and grip the pipe tightly while a specially formulated O-ring compresses around the pipe to create a watertight seal. The fitting can be rotated after installation for quick adjustments, and removing the fitting is just as fast with a disconnect tool, allowing fittings and valves to be changed or reused.

  1. Fastest way to repair PEX, copper, CPVC PE-RT, or HDPE Pipe
  1. Stainless Steel Retainer for added strength, rated to 250 psi
  1. Allows for smoother connections, requires less insertion force
  1. PEX tube liner not required

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not for Canadian outdoors Despite being insulated and properly installed, the fittings did not hold up over two winters. I wasted over $30 on three (so far) blown fittings. I'll be soldering from now on. And I won't be jumping through the hoops of packaging and mailing them back to SharkBite - that's a pain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super easy to work with! Bought one of these to use on a recent plumbing project and couldn’t be more happier at how easy it was to work with for someone with little to no plumbing experience. Got it put on first try and it did the job perfectly without needing tools or much experience.

do i need to use a crimp ring with these sharkbite push-fit fittingS?  my understanding is that i do not.

Asked by: Ajax
Crimp rings are not to be used with the Push-to-Connect SharkBite fittings. The fittings are engineered to hold PEX, copper or CPVC without the use of any additional fastening methods.
