SharkBite Max flexible water softener connectors are the fastest and easiest way to connect your water softener system to existing pipes in your home. A newly designed stainless steel collet retainer delivers additional strength and durability and provides a 250 psi pressure rating. SharkBite Max connectors do not require a PEX tube liner, and a re-engineered body allows you to insert the pipe using less force and greater ease. No soldering, clamps, unions, glue, or special tools required. After inserting to pipe, stainless steel teeth bite down and grip the pipe tightly while a specially formulated O-ring compresses around the pipe to create a watertight seal. The flexible stainless steel braided hose reduces the need for extra joints or fittings, allowing for faster installs

Had to return product and will have to solder 3/4 into the brass connection which slides into the softener.

Just went to install these on my water softener. I measured the diameter of the outlets and they were 1" so I ordered this product. The diameter on the FIP side of these hoses are 1 1/4" am I missing something?

Hi There, Thanks for the inquiry. The hose you are inquiring about was designed specifically to fit most models of water softeners, specifically manufacturers that require a 1" connection to the water softener. Please consult your owners manual to see what size connection is required. Thanks.

Can this be used on a hot water tank? Mine has 1” Pipe connections as this hose has them  where the hot water tank hoses only have 3/4” pipe connectors
