This works very well if you are attaching to PEX, but will require some very precise measurements if using anything more rigid. As such, it's use is somewhat limited in scope. I think it would be infinitely more useful if it had a flexible extension, perhaps 6" or so. All in all, it is a good product, as long as the application is correct. Faucet Connector, I've had this about a week. It was easy to connect just connect it to the faucet via the 1/2" connector and push a 1/4" hose in the back and it's done. Seems to be a good quality product. Worked as advertised. Would recommend it to a friend. It has meet my expectations. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I originally picked this up to use on a kitchen faucet installation, but I decided that the 1/4 inch inbound connection was too small for my kitchen faucet. I have 1/2 copper pipe coming into my faucet. I could have made this work, but I think I'd rather stay with the 1/2 inch pipe. So... turns out this worked perfect for the for my ice maker on my fridge. I added a saddle valve with male connection and screwed this directly to the valve. Very nice!! We are switching all our plumbing on the farm over to push to connect fittings, the reason is because of the time it takes to gather the tools you need to glue or torch a fitting on,, with push to connect fittings you need very few tools, and it take very little time to change a leaky fitting, the 1/4 in by 3/8 in push to connect fitting we ordered from Home Depot is well made fits and takes less than 20 minutes to change [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I REALLY LIKE SHARK BITE PRODUCTS AND HAVE USED THEM FOR MANY PROJECTS. SHARK BITES ITEMS SOLVE A PROBLEM PLUMBERS AND DIYERS HAVE HAD FOR YEARS. IN OLDER HOMES AND THAT IS MATCHING OLDER PLUMBING SYSTEMS TO MORE MODERN SYSTEMS. YOU ALWAYS HAD TO FIND A TRANSITION GOING FROM WHAT EXISTED TO THE NEWER ITEM ( COPPER TO PEX ). THIS ITEM IS A PUSH TO CONNECT FITTING TO HELP INSTALL A FAUCET AND WITH THE MANY DIFFERENT SUPPLY LINES FOR THE FAUCETS AS WELL A WHATS IN THE HOMES THIS MAKES IT VERY SIMPLE AND YOU ONLY NEED THE ONE ITEM. THE ONLY RECOMMENDATION I CAN MAKE IS IT SEEMS TO ME YOU WOULD NEED 2 OF THESE CONNECTS WHEN INSTALLING A FAUCET AND THIS ITEM COMES 1 TO A PACKAGE. ITS VERY EASY TO USE AND EXCELLENT QUALITY. Rated 5 out of 5 by from The 1/4 in. (3/8 in. O.D.) Chrome Plated Brass Push-to-Connect x 1/2 in. Faucet Connector by SharkBite makes life easier for the DIY guy or gal. Over the years I have tackled many projects that involved plumbing. Unfortunately it is usually a love hate relationship it always seems that there is one fitting I don't have or it's hard to get to and work on. But over the years there have been many improvements and changes in the plumbing world and push connect fittings like the ones from SharkBite have made my life easier. I first learned of them at Home Depot when I was looking for a fitting that would allow me to come off copper pipe to PVC. Now I can sweat copper but glue is the safer one to use for most DIY people especially in tight spaces. But push to connect was the easiest to use and if you screw up it's forgiving you can remove it. They cost a little more but spend the money you will be glad you did.
