I leave it up all year round. (canopy down during the hurricanes but frame left up). I have only had to replace the canopy a few times as the brutal sun here just cooks it until it frays apart. Canopy replacements are not that expensive though and convenient with direct free shipping. I have a wood shop under it and enjoy the bright daylight coming through although here you must wear a hat and sunscreen or get sun burned. A few rust spots on frame are just touched up with rustoleum spray paint. Amazed it has lasted so long in this environment due to brutal sun, rain, humidity and salt air. Enjoy having it to work under.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect replacement Our Boy Scout troop has two of these and we use them at least once per month as a dining fly in all weather conditions. Our frame was still in good shape, however our canopy had started to leak after 10 years of abuse, not good to have water dripping into your food. A replacement canopy was the frugal way to go and during our recent white water rafting outing proved it was water proof as it seemed to be constantly raining. My only detraction is that the water seemed to pool between the poles more than the original one. This may be due to a slight difference in size or maybe we just need to replace the tie down bungees.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 18x20 Canopy I have had the 18x20 frame since 2005 and a top will last 3/4 years depending on weather. I have had to replace a few vertical legs over the years. Basically I have been satisfied with the canopy. I have designed special anchors to hold it down. Under each leg I installed an auger and then pinned the legs to the auger's. In addition, for the tie down loops I add and extra knot to the string which makes the loop fit tighter and the rain wont fill up on the sides. I also addeda bungy cord to the four corner tie down's to give them some flexibility and they won't come loose.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice cover for my Deck I wanted a weather cover for my deck. My deck is 18 feet wide and 16 feet long, I shortened the sections to reduce the 20ft length to 16ft. I take the canvas to a local canvas shop to get it shortened. I get 3 years out of a canvas, then it's replacement time. I'm in Indiana and have to knock the snow off, so the frame don't collapse. It'll handle about 2.5 inches of snow, remember it is shortened, so it is stronger than designed by Shelter Logic. I like the amount of light that comes thru the canvas. I wish Shelter Logic would do custom work and shorten the canvases for me.

I haven't had this product through any heavy rains but I'm guessing it probably won't fare very well. Reason being is that there is no way to hold down the sides and the water collects not allowing any runoff. It needs some grommets or something of that nature to anchor the sides tight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from RV Canopy I bought a 20x18 cover on purpose for my 20x12x 13" high RV canopy. The additional width covers about 4' of each side when pulled down and secured with bunges. The cover price was reasonable, it was shipped promptly and arrived in perfect condition. Installation was accomplished by one person, and a latter in a few hours. This was my second or third purchase from Shelter Logis over ten years. Only one car canopy was a replacement cover for a car canopy that was eight years old subject to New Mexico blowing sand and very hot summer tempetures.

I bought it as a replacement cover my last one lasted 2yrs- the only thing that is disappointing is that the Tan replacement cover has been discontinued so I now have Tan poles with a white cover hopefully the company would reconsider!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Product I live in Texas and the heat and the sun can get very hot. This canopy last about 6 to 8 months, then it starts to deteriorate, I get splitting at the arch when that happens it leaks. It seems to me they should put in a reinforcement at the arch that is about 6" wide on the whole length canopy. This would help a lot. Otherwise, I am happy with it, very strong, this is my 3rd replacement in 2 years. It has been hit by winds and ran in the +35 with +40 gust. She balloons and lifts, but never has she ripped (nock-on-wood)
