Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best post support on the market. I needed support on... Best post support on the market. I needed support on a second story deck and searched high and low for something I would trust with my families safety. Came across this one and was sold. Installed this and gave several hard tugs in each direction and it didn’t budge. Costs a bit more than others but you get what you pay for. If safety is a concern this is the only way to go.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good option for cement, but not long lasting I have use these for about 10 years to put up a fence along my driveway. It’s the best option I can find to mount fence posts on a cement driveway; however, I am in the process of replacing them for the third time because they just eventually break after a few years. Last time I even doubled up my posts going every 3 feet, instead of every 6 feet, in hopes that they would last longer, after the last windstorm. Now I just replacing more brackets, did not really get any extra life out of them.

does this only work with tru 4x4 or is it meant to fit 3.5x3.5

    Asked by: Jeff85
3.5 x 3.5, it will not fit an actual 4" piece, it sounds like you already know that 4x4's are actual 3.5, that is what they fit. I loved them by the way for a railing on a concrete porch!

Can I use these to install 4"x4"x8' cedar posts for a gazebo? I am looking to drill the base into 3/4" outdoor porcelain pavers that are 24"x24".

    Asked by: matt72
I used them on a 10 ft by 10 ft dog shelter with a sloped metal roof with 4 -4by4 posts. The 2 in the front were 8 ft. The 2 in the back were 7 ft. I drilled the bases with tapcon screws into 1 1/2 inch thick 24 by 30 inch cement patio stones.(They weigh 100 lbs each) My unit is nice and solid. I would say the heavier your pavers the better, To give it stability.

Would this bracket work sufficiently on asphalt? Or would the asphalt not be considered strong enough? I'm planning to use it with a fence gate setup.

    Asked by: KYeam
I would not recommend anchoring in asphalt, I don’t believe it will hold sufficiently. The brackets work amazing on concrete but in your case you’d be better off to cut the asphalt, dig and pour the posts into concrete.

Can I use six of this brackets to install six 10 foot posts (for a pergola) on wooden deck instead of concrete? Thanks

    Asked by: Sourabh

Can these be used on a pre-existing wood deck? We are building a gazebo and are wondering if these can be used to anchor the posts to the deck?
