I didn’t notice different end options at the store and assuming they are just one variety, I didn’t like how when you attach them, if you want to keep the angles the same on both sides, one side will end up facing outwards, while the other side will be facing inwards.

SBV is a load-rated connector with load and fastener information published in our Canadian catalogue. It could be used as a step but the design and detailing would need to be done by a qualified designer.
