Considering the flimsiness of a plastic tub, why would one even consider it? This copper tub looks spectacular in our bathroom, is extremely big enough to fit anyone over 6' and is maintenance free. I'd certainly go with the overflow drain and the 'recommended' dual drain assembly......it's compliments the tub beautifully! Watch out for the price on a free standing faucet set. They can cost you upwards of $2k

Hi there! We would not recommend using any harsh or abrasive chemicals on your tub. Just a mild soap and some warm water should do the trick!

No. Very solid, sturdy tub. We get lots of compliments on it. The only negative thing I could even say about it...is you have to squeegy the water out when draining...as in it doesn't quite tip enough to drain completely. But that really isn't a big deal to me.

For SINKOLOGY; When stating “will not turn green with normal indoor use” please define normal. What would cause tub to turn green? A sales lady at a plumbing store was adamant that copper would green, period. I informed her that literature stated otherwise and she said she’d never heard of copper tubs NOT turning green. My husband is hesitant to purchase because of this.....

Hello, When we say" will not turn green with normal indoor use", we mean that the tub won't turn green if you not using anything acidic or harsh chemical that make the copper react and turn green. Our copper tubs are tested and have a resistant seal that will last. They have a lifetime warranty.

We are working on getting a solid copper tub certification, in the mean time if you need an inspection we recommend getting an exception. This tub is solid copper, the welds are made from pure copper filler, and the tub is filled with water and tested before it's shipped.

We had a few issues with this years ago but we have fixed it. We have not had an issue with the tub fully draining for a few years.
